Heavy ladder and a bit wobbly
I needed a very portable ladder for job sites capable of being an A-frame and extension ladder. In that regard, this is a good ladder. The 8' A-frame is a nice height and good for most of what I do.However, there's two fairly big drawbacks. This is a very heavy ladder - if you're moving it around all day it's a lot of work. Second, it doesn't retract that well. To be fair, most a-frame ladders have some kind of annoying mechanism to retract and it's not any worse than any others. You still end up wishing you had a third arm to both push in the sliders on each leg as well as retract the ladder itself. Also, the ladder seems to have some wobble in it because it's a telescoping ladder. You have to be careful of balance on this ladder. All in all, I'm going to keep it because I can still use it, but I'm going to have to get another one that's lighter that can be easily moved around.

not that great after over a year
I've used, or tried to use this thing for the last year, and over time it has become more and more of a pain to carry around. The velcro strap that holds the ladder together as you carry it just gives way entirely too easily. The real problem is that it's rather heavy for what it is, and it's not that sturdy, I've actually gone to using it only to get up to the RV ladder, and then using that the rest of the way, IF the RV ladder is too high to just get on from the ground.I would NOT recommend buying this thing.

Great buy
I just wish I had a chance to use it I went to the store and it was on the back of my truck and someone stole it before I even used it the first time

Was not stable enough, heavy, difficult to extend/retract compared to others. Seller was responsive
The ladder was shaky, I did not feel comfortable on it. It was complicated to extend and retract, you have to do each rung individually. I have an extendable non-A frame version that is SO much easier to retract…you just pull 2 tabs and it’s pneumatically buffered so it doesn’t slam down…but this one does slam down. It felt dangerous like you could easily get your fingers pinched. Felt difficult to move around when extended too. Finally, it’s a bit too heavy for what I was looking for. Now, all that said, some of this may just be inherent to the needs of the design to make a retractable A-Frame ladder. But if so, well it’s not for me.My package arrived damaged, like I had received a returned item. However, the seller quickly acknowledged and issued a postage paid return. I do believe if it weren’t for the damaged box and potentially receiving a returned item (without being told that’s what I would recieve) I would have had to pay return shipping…..and due to the weight that would have been cost prohibitive. Seller did offer to rebate it before I returned it, but like I said…I didn’t feel comfortable on it.Not a bad transaction, but the product isn’t designed well in my opinion. 3-stars are only for the seller…not the product, it would get 1-star

Great versatile ladder
This is so much more convenient than normal ladders. You can use it as an A-frame step-ladder or as a fully-adjustable extension ladder, and it folds away into a very small space so you can store it almost anywhere. Heavy enough to feel solid & safe, but light enough to carry around easily. If you are a larger person (this ladder's listed limit is 330lbs) or need to use it while carrying a lot of tools, you may want to look into a more conventional ladder.Sturdiness: In my opinion, it's perfectly acceptable. It's not as beefy as a normal extension ladder, but nobody should be expecting that from this type of ladder. If it was, then it would be just as heavy and inconvenient as an extension ladder, which would defeat the purpose. I feel totally safe on this ladder, even when it's fully extended. Like any ladder, you won't have any problems as long as you use it correctly. The stabilizer bar at the bottom of the ladder does a great job of keeping it securely planted on the ground without wobbling. I wish more ladders had this. The locking mechanisms are also perfectly fine - IF you use them correctly. After seeing some of the other reviews, I think this is more of a problem with the instructions (see my comment below about that) than a problem with the actual mechanism. If you know how to use them, they work great. However, some of those reviews were also correct about when you are folding and collapsing the ladder; you do have to watch your fingers and make sure you don't have them placed between the steps. This is true of ALL collapsible ladders, not just this one.Things I would like to see:1) A slightly better texture on the steps. It's not slippery or unsafe, but it's also not as grippy as some other ladders I've used.2) It uses a single velcro strap to keep it secured when it is folded up. It works, but barely, and it struggles to keep it in-place while carrying it. I think 2 straps would be better.3) Better instructions. The included instructions are fine for a handy-person who's used to building things, but may not be adequate for the typical DIY-er. I think they could add more detail to the instructions so they're easier to follow & understand.

safely work with 330lb person? yeah probably not when straight and simply terrifying to climb
I weight 315 lbs. I needed this ladder as a collapsible ladder that could reach the roof of my Class A Motorhome. When used as A frame it is very solid. When used straight it is simply terrifying even for a person less than half my weight (we tested that). It bends in the middle like a noodle and feels like it will snap in half. I never made it more than halfway before I packed it up and returned it.Also note that it is full length when straight - there is nothing in between. It also needs to be extended laying flat on the ground then lifted into place. While it seems good enough as an A frame, If you needs a straight ladder, there are many better choices out there.******5/12/2023 updateBe advised that YOU MUST PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING to return this product. They offered me $30 to keep it but the ladder was terrifying and I value my life and health more than $30 so I am still returning it.
