Traditional Red Telephone Phone Box Hanging Bird Feeder

I bought this as a gift. I was quite pleased when it arrived. As described and will look lovely in his garden

Bought it as a gift for Christmas for the in laws as they love watching the birds in there garden and I thought it would look great. I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It's beautiful made

Appearance was great, I loved the cute idea of the old British Red phone box but oh my goodness did I get disappointed!! I bought 3 of these, one for myself and 2 more for my grandchildrens gardens so they can watch the birds feeding over winter. I hung mine out on the tree in my garden about a week - 10 days ago , but didn't fill it straight away. I went to put some suet pellets in just now and the entire thing fell apart as soon as I touched it. I was being very gentle as I didn't want to spill the pellets but sod that the entire thing fell apart in my hands. This would have been made much worse if I had gotten round to giving the children theirs as they would be disappointed and I'd have to take the feeder back to return. Honestly this is so bad I can't even imagine them selling in pound land. Not fit for purpose was an understatement. AVOID THIS ITEM UNLESS ITS AS AN ORNAMENT NOT FIT FOR USE

Whilst the bird feeder looked lovely it only had two sides coverd so the seeds could just fall out it was a birthday presant so i couldnt return it such a shame as it looked lovely and was well made

Looked the part , sadly the pigeons took offence to it and destroyed it lol but for little birds was lovely and they used it alot

The gaps at the bottom are too big for general bird seed, it's OK to fill up but when the sparrows start to munch on it the seed all falls out and ends up on the floor [as you will see with the other feeder, both filled up together] . Mine came a bit damaged but I didn't bother to complain about it as I just super clued it up. I will alter the clear plastic glass on all 4 sides to stop it emptying as quick, I think the string that holds this feeded at the top to a smooth nail will soon brake as others I have had done so will change with some metal wire or clothes line. Other than that it does look good, oh not the same red as the traditional phone box a dark red not a bright red.

It was a gift for an Ex-pat Brit living in California who was thrilled with it as she has quite a few "Brit" themed things.Good value as we've seen it priced higher elsewhere.

Items looks just like picture, would recommend. Would suggest seeds only, rather than peanuts. Looks great in the garden, lovely traditional red telephone box colour. Easy to refill just left lid of box.
