It is relatively easy to assemble on your own, it will take about 30 minutes to an hour to assemble depending on if you have your own screwdrivers and allen wrenches, which will speed up your setup time as the provided mini tools do the job but aren't as useful/quick as full size versions. Some parts I'd recommend having a second person for, especially when you connect the wooden pieces, just to make sure you get everything tight and flush. The shelf add on is neat but screws on from underneath the desk only, so it essentially clamps around the top edge of the desk, and due to this it is a bit wobbly depending on what you put the shelf, but it is well made and will hold whatever you put on it within its weight limit. However, due to the lack of sturdiness, I would not advise putting something on the shelf that could fall off it if the desk is bumped hard, from shuffling around and whatnot. For example, it holds my monitor just fine. Later on when shuffling my setup around I tried putting my pc with a mAtx case on the shelf, but it was wobbly and I had to put an object underneath the shelf to stabilize it in case I bumped the desk. For reference a Funko Pop fits perfectly underneath the shelf! The only downside to the desk which isn't the fault of the desk, is that the metal framework is close to the edge the desk, enough that most mounting clamps for monitors and such didn't quite have enough room to clamp onto the desk. Luckily, I used my monitor mount on the corner part, which has a lot more space along its back edge. You may be able to get away with a monitor mount on the other edges of the desk if you use a drill/clamp attachment instead or possibly if your mount has smaller underside clamp pieces. Other than that to only thing I would purchase additionally if you buy the desk is some cord control clips/straps, as the back of the desk is very obviously open and it can look very un-organized without them. The extras are also very nice. The small storage attachment is very functional and can hold a variety of items for easy of access. Easily holding my extra cables, electronics manuals, flash drives etc. The desk also comes with a hook for a headset and several high strength magnets for attaching various knickknacks to the desk. Overall, the desk itself is great. Doesn't creak, feels very sturdy, and walnut coloring I got mine in looks very nice.

Shipping was very fast and the item was packaged very well. Each item in the box was well marked and wrapped separately. The instructions are by 3D diagram rather than description. So before you start assembling, study the diagram carefully each step of the way and everything will come together nicely. It comes with the necessary tools but you will need a Phillips screw driver. I'm using this adjustable table in my sewing room and was able to match the height of it with my current sewing table, creating a nice corner surface to work on. No more having to move the machines. The electric height adjustment assembly works great. The table comes with four wheels but I won't be moving it, so I used the adjustable feet that are included making it easy to level the table. I'm 81 y.o. and was able to assemble it myself. The parts are quite heavy so it took me a while due to the weight, but I got it done. It's a beautiful solid piece of furniture. I highly recommend it.

I have to work with two screens, a laptop and a printer. I don't need much space and I don't need storage drawers. I put together myself. Love the profile, the color, height. I feel like it was made for me. Well done.

Update one week later: concerned about the desk I bought as the bottom support bar is already defective. At first I thought it was just loose, so I used the Allen wrench that came with the desk and tried to tighten it, but the screw is just spinning like it’s stripped out. However, the bar is spinning as well like the plastic insert inside the bar is defective. Don’t know how to contact the seller to ask for a replacement piece without doing a full return which I prefer not to do. Hopefully, seller reads this and makes contact with me. Very pleased with the desk. It was easy to install (took about 45mins) and the directions were easy to read unlike most build it yourself products. The desk is very sturdy and looks just like the picture. I was concerned the fabric drawers would be cheap, but actually they work very well. The design is very contemporary and the price was great for the quality.

This is my first desk in a box and I was a little concerned with how it would look and how difficult it would be to put together. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this desk for anyone looking for a nice looking afforable L-Shape desk - you will NOT be disappointed. This has completely changed my office and made it so much more comfortable. Took my husband I roughly 1hr or so to put together and was insanely easy with no issues. I was concerned with weight bearing capability as we love building fishtanks, but as you can see my desk is holding a 10gallon tank with zero issues. Water weighs a lot so for anyone wondering if this desk can handle heavy equipment, my answer would be yes! The tank weighs roughly 80-90lbs when filled with water - its been a few months since purchase and NO signs of stress or bending. The storage containers are definitely a plus to have and the wood top looks real and not like the cheap crap, but cleans/wipes easily. If you are considering this product, you will not be disappointed!

After a sketchy failed electric desk order I was feeling hopeless about ordering a big ticket item again through AMAZON but I took a chance on this desk with one 5.0 review. I was in a hurry and really did not want to deal with IKEA. I ordered this and I am so glad I did. It’s not one seamless desk top it’s two but the legs are very stable and feet can be adjusted if your floor is not even. Compared to my previous desk I ordered and did not received that I paid $480 this one actually delivered the next day on time and the packaging was really good. My daughter and her bf took 1-1.5 to assemble it and it’s pretty straight forward. Love it
