Bar Keepers Friend

Some months ago we had a new stainless steel sink installed in our utility room. Limescale having formed around the mixer tap caused my wife to treat the immediate tap area with 'Harpic 100% limescale remover'. She then forgot and left it overnight. This caused a brown stain which no amount of effort with our usual arsenal of cleaning products would entirely remove. I sought the advice of the internet and discovered Barkeeper's Friend which I purchased for £3.56 delivered. Applying the product as per the instructions took around five minutes to restore the sink to its former glory!! Btw; I read a review entitled something like "not my friend" which stood out as the only bad review among other very favourable ones. The reviewer apparently purchased the product for circa £1.59!! Of course I have no proof, but since all other reviews oppose this latter one, I suspect given the low price the product the reviewer purchased may have been 'counterfeit'

Homecare Bar Keepers Friend Original - 200g I was struggling to find a replacement of this in my local shops and found it on Amazon at the same price, (including postage), as I would have paid locally. Bar Keepers Friend is a brilliant product for cleaning the outsides of stainless steel pans, the cast iron hob supports, steel oven racks and so on. Not for use on polished steel or non stick but great on those difficult to clean areas.

I purchased this to clean a tarnished silver bangle. I followed the instructions (pour a little powder onto a damp cloth and rub) and it cleaned the tarnish in seconds. I am immensely pleased with the result. I also have an Indian anklet which cost me pennies and was obviously very poorly made. It was very tarnished and as it is a complicated mixture of chain and tiny bells I followed the second set of instructions which recommend making a paste using the powder and water. The mixture was only left on for a minute but it took off most of the surface metal covering of the chain and bells, leaving the slightly orange base metal revealed. I'm not complaining because the anklet was obviously very poorly made but I thought it would be a useful heads-up to anyone purchasing the product for a similar purpose. Just handle with care - it's really good stuff and I'm very glad I found it but do be careful about how long you leave it on any given item to work.

Used on stained cooker hood and hob and WOWIE what a difference. I LOVE this product. It has brought them back to life. Iwas thinking I would have to replace them but this cleaner has made them look like new and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. In fact, I can't wait to try it on other surfaces now! You do need to use a little elbow grease but the results are well worth it.

You cant do better than Bar Keepers Friend, as a family we started using it when we were (yes this is true) in the pub trade, since leaving it over 20 years ago my father passed on its amazing worth and since I had my own home this is always and I do mean ALWAYS under my sink ready for action. Brilliant on doors, walls, taps, sinks, pipes even on your burnt on food from pans or pryex (not that I burn stuff!)

I put bleach in my brand new brushed steel sink and ruined it! Or so i thought! Felt sure i would need to replace the sink, but i read the reviews and thought i would give this product a go. Mixed the powder with a small amount of water into a paste, rubbed it into my tarnished, blackened sink and like magic it became silver again and took out all the black! This really is a wonder product!

I bought this product to clean my silestone work tops. It worked fantastic on stains. I had tried numerous products on the limescale on the groves of the silestone sink and this worked! I cleaned it with the product let it sit for 5 mins, dried it and used a sharp knife to gently scrape away the limescale. I live in a hard water area too and I would definitely recommend this product

I was advised to use this by a kitchen specialist, it is really like old vim, although it was good, it does leave a dust resin of which you have to clean afterwards whereas if I use a spray cleaner, I find this cleans just as well.
