It’s Time to Pump-up Your Tarot Reading Skills With This Nice Collection of Tarot-cises!
Give those intuitive muscles of yours a healthy workout with this collection of Tarot spreads & exercises by Maisy Bristol, a Tarot reader & Astrologer who also shares her expertise with the Tarot & Astrology enthusiasts on social media. You may pull a card a day for yourself. You may do a spread a day. But you thirst for more. You want to go deeper than just asking does so & so love me, or how your day will go. You may want to obtain deeper insights such as your innermost feelings about love & relationships or where you are at right now in your life. This text is focused on self-exploration & personal growth. Be prepared to have an honest conversation with yourself with the help of this workbook, & of course, your Tarot cards. And be prepared to, as the book’s subtitle states, “reflect, discover and grow”. You’ll discover more about what Tarot can do for you. For me? Besides giving myself a much-needed reality-check, Tarot workbooks like author Bristol’s really get my intuitive juices flowing.Thoughtfully laid-out, chapters have topic introductions & the key takeaways at the end of each. There’s a concise section on Tarot cards & brief card interpretations for all 78 cards. The heart of the book is the exercises. Space is provided on those pages for writing your answers or thoughts, or for coloring or drawing. There are resources & references provided in the book as well. One thing that might’ve been useful is a list of all the exercises/spreads & their page numbers for quick access. You’ll dive deep into the diverse topics (check out the Table of Contents in the sample provided). I enjoyed the creative approaches author Bristol took in designing these exercises & spreads which range from very simple to complex. Besides well-designed Tarot spreads, there are coloring/drawing exercises, true/false & multiple-choice questions, letter writing, list creation & more. There’s even a Tarot job interview prep exercise! You’ll find a lot of positive, affirming, exercises but author Bristol does not shy away from the tough talks we sometimes need to have with ourselves, not to punish ourselves, but to shine a light on areas ripe for growth. The Harsh Truths Tarot Spread is one example. There’s a great exercise where you use your cards, to write a letter to your Ex in order to help you let go.The Family Pressure Exercise uses 2 randomly picked court cards to represent your parents. Though my parents have long passed, I wanted to see how the cards I pulled for each would relate to my relationship with them. The insights I received were on point & allowed me to see their relationship with each other & with me in a new light. This book is well suited for all skill levels of Tarot users, particularly useful for intermediate readers. I recommend giving it a try. I received a review copy, & enjoyed it so much, I bought a copy to give to my 17-year-old granddaughter. It does not replace the need for more comprehensive Tarot learning tools, but this workbook is designed to take you deeper, & that, it does!

Really helped me get more comfortable with intuition in tarot
I am a complete novice tarot reader, aside from occasionally getting tarot readings myself I have never really tried to understand it more on my own. This workbook was a great option for someone like me to just get more comfortable.I worked with the digital copy of this workbook. I initially followed the instructions recommended for someone like me in the "How to Use this Book" introduction. After a few days in I started to jump around more and just read content and see spreads I might want to play with later.I personally love journaling and this workbook really compliments that personality. I could have just easily done the prompts in my head, but I enjoy the journaling and self-analysis. This workbook really helped me get more comfortable with how to use a deck when you have ZERO foundation.I did enjoy the spreads offered in the book, but have done actually far less of them so far than I anticipated. I had thought I would jump right into spreads, but I have just preferred the exercises more at this stage. The prompts and dealing with individual cards and how I feel about them have been fantastic exercises. This workbook has a great resource section at the end to help direct you to apps and books that might go deeper into your interests. This is an in-depth but also fun and easy to move around type of workbook. It is easy to do something one night and come back the next day and not feel like you lost your place. It is definitely a resource intended to be revisited and consulted out of order. It is also simply a lot of fun. It is fun to read and lose yourself for awhile in the exercises.

As the book starts by pointing out that the days of the smoke and mirror palm reader are more or less over and a new worldly and positive perspective has been born in its place.
