Bad color and No flavor
I normally get Ceremonial matcha from this brand as it is very fresh, the taste is strong and the color is a bright green. Since I had a consistent good experience with Naoki ceremonial matcha, i wanted to try the culinary grade as it didn’t seem to bc much of a difference. I was very wrong. right from opening the bag the color was very off. after preparing the matcha and making my drink, i found that you could barely taste the matcha at all. like my normal 2 teaspoons of matcha powder didn’t give any flavor to the drink. overall, i am not a fan of the culinary grade matcha at all. if you are buying from Naoki only purchase the Ceremonial grade.

Seaweed flavor in the Matcha Green Tea powder
The taste isn't entirely Matcha Green Tea. I'm not sure what else is in there, but it has a seaweed flavor too. 😬

Cheapest quality you can find and expansive
Cheap quality and doesn't organic ,do not vaice your money,and price to much for this small package

Bad flavor for culinary grade
The culinary grade is unfortunatey not good. Though it has nice color, the flavor is not like anythkng I've tasted in a matcha, even for a culinary blend. It is a harsh vegetal flavor that tastes like the leaves of another plant.

Low quality
Extremely low quality matcha. Has very little matcha quality and comes across more like wheat grass. ONLY for cooking, and even then, only really for color, IMHO. Matcha is probably my favorite beverage, so this isn't just someone who doesn't know what Japanese tea tastes like :)

would rate 0 stars if i could. the matcha makes drinks grainy and has a weird after taste. have to sweeten with sugar or syrup to get rid of the taste. after storing in the fridge the matcha turned a green gray color. there are better matcha brands and do not recommend. CANNOT GET REFUND/RETURN

got sick - do not buy (ex frequent buyer)
I am a frequent buyer of this matcha. however, I recently gotten a bad batch. Upon opening it smelled way too grassy. It also tasted like straight up grass. And it made me sick and have a diarrhea. And I was not able to get a replacement and or a refund. Very sad that I won’t be a subscriber to this matcha anymore. It was my favorite
