Very Happy I Bought This Instrument
I almost gave this 4 stars because it didn't come with any strap buttons, and since it's almost as large as a small guitar, you kind of need that. But then I found out most music stores will put buttons on for free as long as you buy the buttons from them. That was only about $8. After I got the buttons on, it was somewhat a tight squeeze, getting the uke back inside the case, which is small and formless. The instructional dvd could've given a little more info about the difference between a baritone uke and other ukes. It wasn't very helpful. Having said all that, I'm still giving this instrument 5 stars for 3 reasons: The price, the tuner, and the instrument itself. I love playing this ukulele. It came with the strings already on it. I just had to tune it and it was ready to play right out of the box. It's nice and loud and the chords resonate beautifully. It's lightweight and is very comfortable to play. It stays in tune far better than any ukulele I've bought in the past. Well worth the money. ***On a side note to Amazon: It's a good thing this came by the US Postal Service. If it would have been delivered via UPS, this product would very likely have been crushed. The ukulele box was inside a much larger box that had one small sheet of packing paper, which would have been useless if heavier packages would have been placed on top (a very common occurrence with UPS).

so after doing a bunch of research this seemed like a good fit for my skill level and price ...
I am totally new to playing the ukulele, so after doing a bunch of research this seemed like a good fit for my skill level and price range. I went to a local music shop to check out ukuleles and decide between the Soprano and Concert size, and after seeing them side-by-side, I decided to get the Concert because it has a slightly deeper and more beautiful tone and I liked the slightly larger size. The Kala Concert Ukulele is a really nice instrument for the money. I bought Aquila strings to replace the ones that come on the Kala, as many Amazon reviewers suggested, but after trying out the ones that came on the Uke, I decided to leave them on because they sound just fine and that way I have a backup set in case I break a string or something. The bag is pretty cheap (the zipper sometimes snags) but overall it isn't bad. It does the job of keeping my ukulele covered when I'm not playing it, which is pretty much all I need it for. The tuner however, is really nice. It's extremely easy to use and works great! I haven't tried out the CD yet because I have mostly been learning from the Hal Leonard Play Ukulele Today Book and YouTube tutorials. I was very happy with the shipping and delivery. My ukulele arrived a day sooner than predicted in perfect condition and I have been having a blast learning how to play it since! If you are looking for a fun, easy instrument to learn, I definitely recommend getting one! You won't regret it.

Fabulous uke, small and useless gig bag
The ukulele is very nice. Although it is my first ukulele and I do not have any prior experience with other brands, the feeling and sound are fantastic. However, the gig bag that was included in the package was too small to fit the tenor uke. The height still matched but the width was too narrow and the zipper wouldn't close with the instrument inside. I overlooked the fact that no DVD was included. There was a QR code instead to an online (YouTube) tutorial link, so I guess that evens out.

Mykala - a Quality Ukulele for a Fair price
As the Kala entry-level brand, Mykala is a fine ukulele for a fair price. The workmanship is good, the mahogany and other materials used seem very good, and the tuners are a little tight but work well. I am told by my ukulele club members that it sounds very good, so I am pleased with the Mykala Baritone ukulele. The bag included in this package is a good fit and looks nice. The other accessories are fine, but the strings provided are not for a Baritone ukulele, so I gave them to a friend with a smaller ukulele.

Great Starter Tenor Ukulele
The Makala brand gets some really good reviews for lower end instruments on multiple Ukulele websites. I was thrilled at the price of the instrument and what was being offered in the bundle. The instrument arrived on time and in one piece. I wasn't very thrilled with the fact that the seller did not pad the outer box to protect the instrument. Things were just flopping around inside the box, but nothing was damaged. The instrument itself is built well. I changed out the cheap strings that came with it for some Aquila Nylgut Tenor Ukulele strings which added some extra life to the sound of the instrument. (Always get rid of the starter strings and get some good ones installed. You won't regret doing that.) The tuner I have not looked at as I already have two, so it is going to a friend of mine who needs one. The polishing cloth is a little small, but it's good quality. The Gig Bag is fairly well padded and has a carrying handle and an adjustable strap on the back of it. My main concern with the bag however is that it does not have any pockets on it whatsoever. So if you are going to be carrying around extra strings, your tuner, etc... you have to put them inside the bag with the instrument. Overall, the price of the bundle was well worth the purchase. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to learn to play the Ukulele but wants something a little bigger than a Soprano or Concert sized instrument.

You will not find a better ukulele at this price... I've had it for 2 years. 3rd set of strings. It gets at least an hours play time every day... it's not my only uke but it's my favorite by far. I get odd comments when I pull it out at a campfire until people hear the sound. Always starts a sing a long...😎

I bought this a few months ago and love it. At first it needs to be tuned a lot. The little guide that comes with it was very helpful and the tuner is terrific!
