Noy much to say abput this stainless steel reusable filter except it is deffinately stainless steel. I weighed up the cost of forever buying the throw away filters to getting this one and of course i made the right choice One thing to be careful of, and something i have done myself, it is thin and can easily be thrown away by accident, or easily lost, so i tend to remove it, wash it, dry it and replace it into the aeropress. It does a great job at filtering my coffee is perfect every time

If you have an aero press then you know what this is about and no doubt will have used the paper filters. This is exactly the same thing… but a paper free reusable option. Sure it’s not cheap, whereas the paper ones are. But if you’re looking for an environmentally friendly option, and use it enough to balance out or justify the cost then it feels a little to me like a no brainer.

The quality is fine, but it just doesn’t work. The filter isn’t fine enough, so water just pours through unless you use the inverted brew method, then you still get excessive fine bits in your brew. It’s also really thin, so bends easily. If you use it with a paper filter it’s fine, but defeats the point. I want to line it, but it’s genuinely a waste of time.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Perfect replacement for all those wasteful bits of paper.

This replaces the paper filters in your Aeropress device. It has pros and cons - on the pro side you do get a wider range of flavours in your coffee; on the downside, you will get small grains at the bottom of the cup which doesn't happen with paper filters. It is very easy to clean, just run it under the tap.

This is the second mesh filter I have purchased for the XL Aeropress, The first lasted for a while but its design let it down, the double mesh was held in a ring that over time detached from it and coffee grounds got caught in-between the mesh, This new one is made as a one piece so will have no similar problems. The taste I think is better than the paper filters because it allows the oil of the coffee to come out giving a richer flavor, super easy to clean and looks like its built to last { unlike the other one } bonus that its endorsed by Aeropress and one thing they know is how to get a decent cup of fresh tasting coffee easily. The price was in infact cheaper than the other one, also brought on this site, so win win all around

Really glad I bought this metal filter - saves me carrying/forgetting paper filters. As it’s made for the press, there is no difference in the coffee strength nor taste vs. Paper filters. My metal filter is always in my Aeropress, this makes using the whole device much easier. Go for it!

Absolute fail for 'conventional' brewing, water falls straight through BUT for inverted brewing effective and saves binning/running out of papers. Slightly more mud at end of drink, but also slightly more oils allowed through for flavour

Eu já tinha um, de outra marca, mas esse da Aeropress é ainda melhor! Pra quem a mini ou a go, é o ideal.

Useless to buy because it doesn't work unless you have a paper filter so don't waste your money.

Cloudy coffee. Paper filters are better

I'm not a big coffee drinker and so I wanted to get something very portable that wasn't a single purpose bulky appliance. Aeropress was the perfect solution. It originally comes with 100 circular paper coffee filters and when you pour your coffee, a lot of pressure was needed to push and strain the coffee through. These metal mesh permanent filters don't need any pushing. Just lightly tap the sides and the coffee just flows through without any grains making it pass the filter. Very fast and efficient. Also, fast and easy to clean. And also, no need to ever buy paper filters.

Good. It’s very thin and one needs to be careful while cleaning or handling it.
