DD Hammocks Underblanket - Lightweight Hammock Underquilt for Outdoor Winter Camping Suitable to -5 Degrees Celsius

I've shopped for a few underblankets and after a bad experience with a no name brand I decided to scrounge up the extra tenner for this DD blanket and I'm delighted with my purchase. In truth I only picked the DD blanket as I had just got the DD frontier and fancied trying a complete set. For DD Hammock owners, if you are a veteran DD purchaser you probably know and expect the excellent quality and value DD provide, if you just got a DD Hammock and are looking for matching insulation, don't hesitate, this blanket fits, lines up with and matches DD hammocks for a perfect sturdy fit. For other hammock owners don't be put off by it being designed for DD Hammocks, every feature that DD put onto this blanket improves the fit for any hammock. There are three hooks on each side for you to attach to a hammock, the attachment is on shock cord , the entire blanket is shrouded with adjustable shock cord and it comes with shock cord to hook up to the sides of the hammock, everything is adjustable for a universal fit and there is plenty of it to shroud almost any hammock. Quality is great all over, this is one of the coldest rating underblanket for this money, lower than the equally well made snugpak, the outer is tough and easy to wipe down and with the included carabiners it's easy to install quickly. Lots of filling and the quality add a little heft to it but you can reduce weight by modifying it slightly and remove the shock cord if you can as I have. I do not know if DD endorses this but it's very easy to tinker with.

This is a nice underblanket, it keeps you warm and the moment you get into your hammock with this on, its instantly warm. One night, it dropped to -4, with wind driving right into the opening of my tarp and I was warm. The inconvent part is this blanket kept sliding off my hammock that night, multiple times. If you get this underblanet I suggest making sure your hammock has a tab at the foot and head end to attach the underblanket securely.

The perfect addition to my DD frontliner superlite. Great quality, nice and warm (not fully tested in the freezing cold yet though) and very easy to set up. Packs down nice and small for hammock backpacking. Also at a great price!

If hammock camping all year round is what you wish to do then something like this in the colder months is a must, stops the feeling of cold underneath you, can even make you too warm if you use it during summer months. It is a bit bulky and can take up alot of bag space, it also may seem overpriced for some but you get what you pay for and this, like most DD equipment, is very good quality.

Well made product, used at plus 5 deg but with plenty of other insulation so not really sure how much difference it made, have yet to test any comparative products, all I can say is I didn't freeze & I was snug enough not to wake during the night.

It's quite heavy in comparison to some of my other gear - if you're carrying a hammock and other stuff to be lightweight. However, it does add warmth. I use it with the Snugpack Antarica for winter, so never going to be lightweight anyway. I prefer to carry the extra weight and then be warm and sleep well in very cold conditions. So recommended.

I purchased this under blanket as a must need accessory to anyone wild hammock camping as we know your back n behind can feel the chill. So this really is a must in the autumn or winter keeping you snug for a good nights sleep. Construction... well made under blanket for the price stuffs away neatly into its own stuff sack.

Alle in der Beschreibung genannten Maße stimmen mit der Realität über ein. Es hält wirklich gut warm und passt sich dem Schläfer gut an und ist dadurch angenehmer als eine untergelegte Isomatte. Ich kombiniere das Underblanket mit einer DD Hammock. Diese beiden Produkte sind aufeinander abgestimmt - weil aus einem Hause - und das merk man auch. Ich wüsste ehrlich gesagt nicht wie ich es an meiner Ticket to the moon anbringen sollte, aber dafür ist es (bei mir) nicht gedacht darum 5 Sterne.

Ottimo per isolare la parte sottostante dell'amaca. Senza questo si sente il freddo passare dalla tela sottile dell'amaca e il sacco a pelo schiacciato dal nostro corpo non isola nulla, ecco perché serve questa copertura che va installata appendendola sotto l'amaca, ben aderente alla strssa. Per isolare deve essere molto aderente alla parte inferiore dell'amaca quindi posta all'esterno e non dove ci si sdraia. Non idoneo per temperature vicine allo ZERO o inferiori anche se, in caso di freddo intenso, è meglio averla che essere senza.
