Great device that has already saved me a big bill
I have a Diesel Ford Mondeo MK3 2006 which has been acting up. This little device has diagnosed the fault and cleared the code and engine mangement light on the dash. I cannot tell you how much I love it! The only issue is the provided CD is having read errors in my drive. I was only trying to scan it for viruses before using it but this might be down to my DVD drive so I haven't knocked off a star in case it is my fault. This doesn't really matter to me though as I am using this with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with various apps called OBD Car Doctor and Torque. They are working great with it and have been really useful. OBD Car Doctor gives me real time graphs of the sensors which has diagnosed a possible problem with my IAT sensor (Inlet Air Temp) which is showing air temp of 16C to 24C when it was only 3C outside! This reading is erractic and under hard acceleration causes the Mondeo to go into limp mode. This sensor just needs cleaning as it is a common fault. Ford said I might need a new turbo!!! I can now eliminate the obvious before going to a mechanic and know a bit about what the error codes mean. Bluetooth Pairing of this device for me was 1234 but it may also be 0000 or 6789 from what I believe. I wish I could upload a video so I can show you this in action. One other thing is that this is a physically much smaller device than some of the others available which means in my car I can leave it connected while I'm driving without being in the way It is when I'm driving that my error shows up. I don't know about other models of cars but it's out the way on mine. It's great worked first go with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and does everything I want. By the way the apps for the Samsung I'm using are free . The paid versions are only a couple of pounds so I might treat myself!

Didn't Work
Connected no problem to my Android 'phone, but could not read the ECU on my 2005 Mondeo TDCi.An alternative model from a UK supplier (though no doubt also built in China) worked with no problems.I suppose we can't expect much Quality Control at this price.

Compact and works well with third-party software
I used this to review the stored diagnostic trouble code (DTC) in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta after a warning light came on.I didn't use the supplied software - the device worked straight-away with the "Torque" app I had downloaded onto my Android phone.Surprisingly effective and easy to use for such a low cost item and wonderfully small compared to most competing products.

Does the job!
I ordered this item after a garage charged me £30 JUST to check what was the SRS light lit for! I've been told that there was no error and he had to "RESET" the light from the ACU which is exactly what this item can do!!!Anyway, I plugged the interface and connected it to my phone via bluetooth, no problems at all! It connected straight away using the default passcode of 1234.I paired this device with my HTC ONE X + (android phone) very easily and using an app (TORQUE) from the android app market, I managed to read all the faults and reset them myself. The app also provides LIVE information from the ACU like the intake temp, the coolant temp, the actual MPG as recorded by the car (real MPG reading), rev counter, etc....One note about the CD that came with this device! I haven't used it at all after I read the previous reviews (being iinfected wih a virus)... But as I mentioned above, I got the app for my phone and don't really need to use the CD at all!I've used this a few times now and I am totally happy with it, my only regret is I didn't buy this item before the garage charged me £30!!!

Pretty good. Sometimes you need to unplug and plug ...
Pretty good.Sometimes you need to unplug and plug back in to get a Bluetooth connection.Good value but could be less fiddly.

Doesn't work with my -99 focus.
The interface won't work with my -99 Ford Focus. It connects nicely to my android device via bluetooth, but it says that it cannot connect to ECU. After checking around the forums it seems that this is no surprise and that it's always a bit of hit or miss with these cheap devices (and of course being a ford owner, I'd be surprised if something actually worked flawlessly :-D). Not disappointed since the interface didn't cost much, but if you are buying one, you should be aware that there's a chance it won't work at all.

Great little device
Great little device. Popped into my 55 Reg Peugeot 206 and it identified the exact part on my exhaust which needs to be replaced...one day :(...It also lets you reset the engine management light, check all the various sensors and most of that goes over my head to be honest.I was told the little CD that comes with it probably has malware on (even though mine had a cute little panda on it!) but you don't need it anyway if you were born after 1965 as you have a smartphone and will just use the Torque Lite app to connect to the device.

Works well with Torque / Dash driving apps for Android.
I bought this so I could apps like Torque and Dash on my Android phone (a Nexus 5). Plugged it into my car (2007 1.2l petrol Skoda Fabia hatch), paired and connected to the device via Bluetooth no problem! Pretty short time between data updates (multiple updates per second). Turns off automatically after a couple of minutes of the car being turned off, so you can leave it plugged in and it will not drain the battery. It's about as compact as these things come, too. Feels fairly well-built. Couldn't be happier.
