This is a great purchase deserves 5 stars, my pie crusts always over browned in the oven, but this has solved the problem. I would recommend this to any one who makes pastries and pies.

hard to close
although it works , it’s very hard close the ring once around the tin

This does not fit an 11.5 inch tart tin nor even close ... maybe at least 2" short
Am wondering if the one i received was cut to size by another cistomer and then returned to Amazon. Anyone else had this problem? I love the idea of this and want to get it right. Thanks

I purchased this pie crust shield in June of 2016. Today I purchased another one because the first one definitely did the job. Yes, it did fall off the crust on occasion, but that's the stuff you deal with in a kitchen. The shield worked perfectly 90 percent of the time, and I bake a lot of pies (my husbands favorite dessert.) Out of curiosity I checked out other pie shields and there were a lot of complaints on those also, so I decided to go with what I know works. This Talisman pie shield does the job.

Easy to use and works perfect. Easy to size with adjustable link. Remember it's hot when you take pie out

It does it's job but the design isn't great. When it is hot it is difficult to adjust the shield if needed or to take off.
