Impressive at the price!
There seems to be a number of models being reviewed here so, for the avoidance of doubt, I'm talking about the Linx 12X64. This was bought as a replacement for an ageing iPad which had become slow to the point of being useless and with no updates available, consigned to the role of paperweight. To be honest, I had no idea what to expect from the12X64 but overall I'm very impressed with the build quality, display and especially the battery life. Of course, you are to some extent reliant upon the vagaries of Windows 10 rather than the Apple iOS "It just works" but Windows 10 is so much improved and has become, in my opinion as someone who uses it on three different devices, much more intuitive and adaptable. For example, if I'm just browsing in front of the TV, I use "Tablet mode" but if I'm writing emails of any great length, I tend to attach the keyboard and use the more traditional desktop mode. I have purchased a 64Gb MicroSD card which sits in the slot permanently as additional storage and is the default location for downloads and some programme installs, just to increase the available storage - I get a bit paranoid when available storage gets below about 40% but that's me. The touch screen is as responsive as I need it to be, the keyboard is just fine for most typing needs and having lived with the device for over a month now, it has not only replaced the iPad but added-to the whole "tablet" experience - for example, watching videos on YouTube full-screen is a much more "immersive" experience than it ever was on the iPad. Overall, the Linx 12X64 has exceeded my expectations by some margin.

Great little tablet
Wow, talk about under promise and over deliver! This little guy is a great purchase for under £200. I bought this as a temporary stop gap between desktop PCs and was not expecting the earth but I am genuinely impressed. I have installed a lot of programs and applications that I would normally use on a much more powerful desktop PC and it handles them well. The HD screen is crisp and it takes a fair bit to slow the processor. I think most people will need more than the standard 64GB storage so be prepared to invest in an SD card to slot in. It seems to hold its charge well and the detachable keyboard is a real bonus for anyone, me included, who can't get along with typing on a touch screen! Will happily connect to a large screen TV through HDMI which also useful for streaming. All in all a great little tablet, can recommend.

STAY AWAY
EDITED: after 59 days of usage ! tablet suddenly refused to charge or turn on. I suspect the motherboard died. I did not mis-use the product , or drop it, or anything. This is terrible, luckily amazon said they would give me a refund. 1 star STAY AWAY Screen: the screen on this tablet is of very good quality. responsive, full 1080, very bright colours, and great viewing angles. performance : poor. the tablet is slow not gonna lie. it is listed as a quad core with 4gb ram, but feels substantially slower than that. only suitable for video viewing, web surfing, office work, and the sort. it did run hearthstone on very low with choppy framerates.. and steam inhome streaming just about works on it. overall expected for the price paid. battery life : good. got 8 hours out of it, but very slow charging. the charger out of the box is 2.5 amps. which is quite a big more than a normal tablet charger. should the tablet charger fail, it would be very difficult to buy an equivalent one that would charge the tablet. keyboard and track pad : poor. the keyboard is fine, but difficult to connect to the tablet, the magnet is off center and you need to hold both tblet and keyboards firmly to connect them. the track pad is AWFUL, it randomly clicks everywhere and activates gesture shortcuts without doing them, nearly unusable. luckily its a touchscreen so not really needed. connectivity : very very good. it has a full sized usb plug, which lets you plug in usb stick, a mouse, and more. it also has bluetooth, and wifi 2.4ghz and wifi 5ghz. The addition of wifi 5ghz is great because it allows me to stream games and videos to it through steam home streaming. I have not yet tried the mini hdmi port, so cannot comment on that yet. sound : very very subpar and poor. The speaker crackle and screech if the volume is any higher than 60%. unfortunately though, the volume of those speakers is very very low, and they sound very tinny, To hear anything on some youtube videos, you need 100% volume to hear anything at all, and at that volume again the speakers crackle and screech. I would say the weakest point of this tablet. luckily it has a headphone port which sounds decent, so i recommend to watch movies and videos with headphones or with a bluetooth speaker only. Overall, i would say this tablet was worth the money. It is far cheaper than any other brand for the screen quality and size, and the battery power. Yes you get what you pay for, but it's competitors have 720p smaller screens, for £80 more. overall fairly satisfied with my purchase.
