Explore the classic forest archetypes and pre-Celtic mythology of the Wildwood Tarot, featuring vivid imagery that connects you to the ancient woods' magic and power. Review: GORGEOUS, SUBSTANTIAL & SO FULL OF QUALITY!! - Oh; I just LOVED these as soon as I opened them, and from the very first time I used them! It's not often I get this feeling; usually a new Deck either has to grow on me - or simply ends up being a lovely Deck for my Collection - but will probably never get used... However; this Deck I adore and shall definitely be using regularly! This is a very good quality Deck; box, book and Cards are all great quality. (though the Cards are without lamination which I would have preferred since I shall be using them lots) I love this Deck, because the images are just SO nice and interesting. They're colourful and very friendly and I instantly related to them - especially the animals, and I got lost in the Deck almost instantly whilst doing my very first Reading! I felt I'd been away and come back from somewhere else - real escapism! I like the fact they are in the Suits of; Arrows, Bows, Stones and Vessels - makes a refreshing change from the usual Tarot categories. The book is full of very rich and deep Interpretations and meanings, and though I usually prefer to interpret for myself, the ones here in this wonderful book are SO informative and interesting (and go far deeper than most I find) I shall probably continue to look them up more than using my own - the quality book is a real pleasure to use! I just LOVE these (in case any of you hadn't already noticed!) and would highly recommend them to anyone and to everyone - particularly those whose imagination and fantasies are easily fired by nature, woods, forests and animals - simply GORGEOUS!! FIFTY STARS from me!! Review: Gorgeous cards! - I love these cards. The imagery is breathtakingly beautiful! They follow the wheel of the year and are therefore a perfect deck for pagans, wiccans and those with a love for ancient woodlands and nature in general. They are a lovely size (about the same as a classic deck) and came well presented with a fully detailed and illustrated guidebook. They are slippery due to the finish on the cards but this can aid shuffling. The backs are simple black with a Celtic knot tree in the centre which I adore. As they have some non-traditional imagery and interpretations for the cards, they may not be ideal for beginners, although this is dependent on the individual and the guidebook is very informative :) I highly recommend them to anyone who collects cards or someone who simply wants a more nature based deck.

Powerful deck, probably not for beginners
This is a really beautiful and powerful deck. It doesn’t use a classic tarot system per se, but anyone familiar with Rider Waite etc will see some similarities. However, this is a different system so be prepared to spend some time learning it when you first get it. So, I like this deck but feel a bit mixed about it. The positives are that it’s packaged beautifully and the cards are of a really high quality. They might be almost a touch too glossy as they shuffle a little fast for my taste. But they are gorgeous and the imagery is wonderful. The book and system are interesting. A lot of thought has been put into the explanations for different cards as well as the journey of the wild wood. The only thing that gave me pause was it is really clear this deck represents some very fixed ideas and ideologies of the people who made it. I find some of the interpretations they offer for cards to have a certain slant (mostly about the land, ancestors and our responsibility to protect it and our failure collectively to do so) that can become preachy and also sometimes comes off a little forced. I also feel like some of the descriptions or energies while long compared to many tarot decks, actually don’t say a whole lot. There is a teeny tiny bit of grandstanding going on. You can very much feel the views and ideologies of the authors throughout the guidebook and that’s not necessarily what I want in a deck as for me a tarot deck is a personal thing and should be, as far as possible, free from the biases and agendas of the makers. I found that I didn’t enjoy many of the descriptions as they didn’t always match the energy of the card and felt a bit too political to me. This really is a deck you use when you want to do some journeying, meditate and connect with primal energies. It’s not a daily deck or one for the mundane per se. All that being said, it’s a powerful deck. It’s one that I think is useful for meditation and to contemplate and connect to ancestral energies. If you’re after something that can give you easy guidance or for more daily or surface level stuff this will not be your thing. Should you buy it if you love tarot? I’d say so! It’s involved and I think will take months or years to fully connect with and explore with. This is a serious deck for serious study, so it won’t do much for you if you just want a quick tarot spread etc. Overall, it’s fabulous, but don’t expect it to be an easy one!

Beautiful Deck For Reading and Meditation
Beautiful deck. I have bought it twice - the first edition and a later one, I love it so much. It's the real thing - a genuine pagan deck without the christian accretions of Smith Rider Waite. Based on the Wheel of the Year and in a convincing and intelligent way; this deck came from the author behind the beloved Greenwood deck, as Greenwood was out of print and originals going for exorbitant prices online. But it is not a Greenwood clone - many more years' experience are behind it. And of course, the images were created by Will Worthington, probably the best tarot artist around. His art is numinous; beautiful and detailed. There is a lot more going on in some of these cards than in most other decks. Court cards are animals but not all the same as in the Greenwood deck. The first edition had plainer backs and less depth in description of the court cards in the accompanying book. I think this is the most important and useful meditation deck since the Matthews' Arthurian Tarot and Hallowquest course - but it is also a good working deck to read from. As I have two copies I cut the borders off the second - as this deck is marginally too large for my hands. Or was, bt it is perfect now it is cut down. It makes sense for the borders to be there though, as you get the choice. Once you own it, there is nothing stopping you cutting it down if you prefer it. (In image, I showed a card I cut down next to one I hadn't).

Rekommenderas starkt.

Meu deck chegou bem embrulhado e protegido. O livro é ótimo e o deck super lindo! O material da carta é mais fino, não é um tarô com cartas grossas. A entrega levou apenas 2 dias. Moro em São Paulo e veio de Santo André. Eu tive algumas perguntas ao vendedor e eles me responderam no mesmo dia. Muito obrigada pela eficiência!
