Eagle Creek Pack-It Original Packing Cubes - Durable Organizer Bags for Luggage with Rugged Dual Zippers and Top Grab Handle

The half "cube" is the intermediate size of these clever travel organizers. This one is a perfect size for my purposes. It would work well for storing socks, underwear, camisoles/tanks, or women's tees. I had a lot of trouble visualizing the actual size of the Pack-It cubes using just the promo pictures and dimensions, so after trying out several sizes, I've included photos to try to provide some perspective. Here you see 3 pairs of cushioned men's crew-style dress socks and two men's boxer-briefs rolled. There's enough slack in the material to allow a layer of additional items on top. I've also pictured the half-cube (w/ same items) in a 22" carry-on sized roller suitcase. The Pack-It is a clever design that both provides structure and flexibility. The result is you can overfill the PackIt (in my pic, you could easily add another layer of items), and unless you have a solid item taking up the whole width of the bottom, there's enough extra material so the half-cube flexes to hold it all. The mesh makes it possible to compress the contents (as well as see what's in there). And the handle makes it easy to grab and carry the filled cube, which would otherwise feel sort of awkward (since it's soft-sided and flops over). Note that the half-cube is included in the sets of Eagle Creek cubes, check those out if you're going to buy multiple sizes. This half-cube is a useful size for all sorts of travelers. Recommended.

I love to cruise and in the past it was a mess packing/unpacking. This is an amazing concept for frequent flyers or cruisers. On one of my previous trips I was over in my checked bag @ the airline counter...it was so easy to unzip my suitcase and pull out a cube to meet the 50# limit. What's also nice is that you simply roll your clothes into a cube and insert the cube into your luggage. My clothes have little or no wrinkles and when I unpack on the ship, I unzip, fold the cover back and insert my cube into a drawer - no more searching for underwear or socks that were stuffed throughout my suitcase. For dressier clothes it's a breeze to have them all together to hang. I have 3 sets now, one from IKEA (a gift, which are already fraying); a set from Sharper Images (Marshalls) that I bought as a starter/trial set and now numerous sizes from Eagle Creek. Eagle Creek is my absolute favorite - the quality difference is obvious and I love the handles...it's a one-time purchase. My next purchase will be the folder and my ideal set of cubes is complete. I might even share one or two with my husband who uses the blue ones from Sharper Images. He originally thought I was nuts being so adamant about using cubes - now he enjoys the convenience too!!

The eagle creek cubes are the best.... I recently purchased an eagle creek duffle bag and came across the packing cubes on their site, and thought that they could definitely come in handy, but seemed expensive. I came across a cheap version of them on eBay from a no name company, at a fraction of the price. I recently took a trip to NY and the no name cubes did not even last 3 days on the trip. Luckily I was able to get a refund, and took my money straight to eagle creek. I first ordered their basic essential set that comes with 3 cubes, and was so impressed by the quality that I went ahead an purchased the Double Cube. The double cube is huge, and really comes in handy because my suitcase really has no sections or dividers, so it can accommodate the space of the double cube. If your suitcase does have sections or areas divided, the double cube may be too big for your. i would recommend going to the eagle creek site and watch the videos they have for the product that you are interested to ensure that it will meet your needs. I think I will be an eagle creek customer for life, and I am sure their products will last just as long. I still think their products can get pricey, but if you travel a lot or really want to keep things organized I would say that they are definitely worth the money.

These are amazing for packing clothing in your suitcase! I bought a few now and have used these for 3 years, and there are still no issues! No problems with the zippers at all! Handled are all still sewn on and no stitching has come loose. I would highly recommend this brand for those traveling.

I like the size of this pack and use many similar but smaller packs for travel, many of them from Eagle Creek. My only complaint is that this Pack-it does not come with a folding board which my other pack this size did from Magellan. The folding board not only helps in folding the clothes but gives some structure to the pack. Update: I used several of these double cubes for a cross-country car trip. I packed 2-3 days worth of clothes in each and then only had to carry one cube along with a small bag for toiletries, etc. into the hotel each night. So much easier than lugging a heavy suitcase when all you are going to need out of it is something to wear the next day.

This is the last original Eagle Creek Pack-It Original Packing Cubes on Amazon, as far as I can see. These are the real deal, the ones all the other companies try to emulate. The newer thing of this size that EC makes is more complicated, less durable, a little wonky, and a lot more expensive. These original Pack-It cubes right here are the ones you want. Despite the inconsistent info in the sale listing, I received QUARTER CUBES just as I was looking for.

We seem to travel a lot, and I've finally learned how to pack - I roll everything up and put like with like in my collection of Eagle Creek cubes. Trousers go in the biggest one; tops in the next size down; unders and socks in this half-cube size; and chargers, cables, and similar small fry in the smallest ones. I just pack the filled cubes in my suitcase, which makes unpacking a breeze and saves my hotel room from being festooned with all my junk when I search. I needed an extra half-cube for my socks when we traveled in cool weather, so I ordered this one, and an extra one for my bathing suit and beach robe when we went to Hawai'i. It doesn't quite match the older ones I have - they have black mesh tops and this one has red - but everything else works great. It's lightweight fabric, so it's not heavy and doesn't take much room in my suitcase. I still hate to pack and unpack - ugh! - but these cubes make it so much easier. I can find everything and my space stays organized. I still invariably pack the wrong stuff - too much of this and not enough of that - but as helpful as these cubes are, they can't fix that. They just make it easier for me to find the wrong stuff in my suitcase, without taking up much room or adding to its weight.

Bought two of these bright red cubes to make medical emergency bags for car and home. Easy to carry and pack, mesh front lets things air out, and easy to see what's inside. Zippers have never jammed or broke, and construction strong and durable with no unraveling or fraying or snagging. Over the years have bought many kinds of these packing cubes. Real quality and worth the money. Will buy again.

The half cube is great for packing medium sized items, such as t-shirts, leggings, light-weight cardigans, pj's etc, items which are all relatively easy to pack neatly in your suitcase, but which can quickly end up all over the place. I have also used the half cube for packing whole outfits for my children, when we are staying over night somewhere, to ensure that each child's items are kept together and ready for them to wear the next day without too much rummaging around in one large bag.

The quarter cube is quite small, but just as well made as the other sized cubes, and its size is what makes it ideal for all the little items in your suitcase, that would otherwise get lost at the very bottom. As it is quite small and thin, it fits into even the smallest gap in your suitcase or bag. If you have used the full and half sized cubes for your clothes and outfits, then the quarter size is ideal for socks and underwear. It is also handy for items like charging cables for various electrical devices. Apart from using as part of the whole set when packing for holidays, I also use the quarter cube to store a single change of clothes (t-shirt, leggings, socks and pants) for my two year old, when we go out somewhere for the day. It is just the right size to hold an entire child's outfit, and ensures that all the items stay together and clean (rather than in a jumble at the bottom of my handbg) and can be grabbed quickly if needed.

Although I used a measure to have a rough idea on sizing, I had no idea how much I could squeeze into the bag. You can use this size for cables, compact cameras and accessories. However, if you want to use the bah for personal items I managed to get 2 bikinis & a swim suit in. Or, 2 pairs of thick socks, 5 pairs of knickers and a bikini laid on top into the bag. That was about maximum capacity.
