Love it. Helped with what i bought it for. To get a drill bit under the deck
Love it so far did what i needed to buy it for. And that was to get a drill bit from under the falling apart deck I have. Idk if I'll actually use it for magnet fishing like in the water there's a pretty tall bridge where I am but I think this summer i will drag it along the beach near I am and look for fishing junk or whatever

Lost the 1st Day, BUT Able to Pay For Itself With Catch
So, like so many people have said, there are 1 of 2 places it can come unhooked, the eye unscrews or the carabiner. I told my husband & his friend about the eye & told them to check it every often, but failed to tell them about the carabiner. I figured it would be obvious to screw it tight. I also suggested since they didn't need that much rope & it had 2 eyelets, to cut the rope and attach a bobber or something that floats so in case the eyelet or carabiner come off, they would have a back up retrival. Many men are dumb though, or perhaps careless or some other word is a more palative descriptive of why they never read anything or listen to a women that clearly has more knowledge in a particular subject matter so, they lost it. Tossed it around like they were trying to wrangle a cow and on release hit the top of the boat house, at that point they weren't sure what happened but the magnet sailed out to the water and the carbiner fell still attached to the rope. Either they didnt tighten the lock on the carabiner or it came loose but they thought they must not have tightened it. There was no reason for them to be swinging it that hard though. Lots of stuff has fallen off the dock. Before all that happened, when they were tossing it out from the dock, they managed to snag it on some fishing line and was able to bring up a really nice pole probably worth around $65. However, they might have been able to do that just as well with a grapple hook. They were looking for another pole the friend had lost earlier in the summer. They were searching at a 15-20 ft depth. I figured they would loose it so I am glad I didn't get the more expensive Brute brand. Magnet attached very tight to golf cart/iron objects on land and that is all I can really sayabout it. I am going to get another one (not sure same brand) b/c it seems like a fun hobby for myself but I want a grapple hook too next time (sunken logs might be an issue with those). Can't say anything bad about it in the very short time it was used, and still at least have the rope (& gloves). It did not come with a threadlocker so had hubby grab the blue threadlocker b/c that is all we had.

A great product
This little magnet was exactly what I needed. Yesterday, I dropped and expensive pair of pliers in the tank of water my water sofener. Today I attached 4 feet of clothesline on the magnet and within a minute, I pulled up my pliers up from the bottom of my 6 foot high water tank. It worked like a charm. It made my day. I hate losing stuff.

Strong magnet
Needed a strong magnet to replace a key forbaby lock for cabinets. This one is super strong can be a pain to pull off of metal surfaces. The hook is an added bonus.

It’s ok?
Is it a magnet? Yes. Does it stick to metal objects? Yes. Does it lift or hold 250 pounds? Nooooooooooooo. It will barely lift a fishing rod. It found what I was looking for but won’t lift it

Very strong and simple to use. Pretty versatile in use
Pretty Sure of it's a 350lb hold capacity. Not that I have anyway to directly measure the holding capacity other than my brute strength. however, this magnet is strong enough for what I need it for, and that is to use as a handle on the inside of my shipping container door. It sticks up easy , has good holding power as well and was and is very simple to Install. Very versatile.

Great starter magnet. Purchased for its multiple attachment points
I like to he design with having the ability to change the attachment points which is why I bought this. Everything appears to be made of stainless steel, nothing has rusted. The quality overall seems well made. I’m not sure on the magnetic strength ratting system and how those numbers correlate to weight capacity but this would be a decent magnet for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot but would like to get into magnet fishing or just needs to retrieve something.Surface contact area has a lot to do with the magnet’s weight capacity it will be able to handleIf you are able to land this fairly cleanly on something magnetic I think it would be capable of retrieving something that’s close to a 50 or 60lbs realistically from the water. Great starter magnet.
