A good solution to the ULSD problem of low lubrication
If you have a modern common rail diesel engine, some sort of lubrication should be used to keep the high pressure fuel pump and injectors in good shape. The ULSD fuel today does not provide enough lubrication, and you are at the mercy of the fuel company to add enough lubrication to the fuel to prevent damage to your equipment, The Red Line RL-2 is quite concentrated, 1 oz. to 20 gallons of fuel. To make usage easier I mix one bottle (15 oz.) with 45 ounces of fuel. One ounce of the mix is then added to each 5 gallons of fuel. A side benefit is a slight increase in fuel economy, in my case it amounts to about one and a half percent increase. This is an economical answer to the fuel lubrication problem faced using ULSD fuel. One bottle will treat 300 gallons of fuel.

Used regularly on my VW TDI for over 2 years (~40k). Didn't really notice any change in MPG or performance, but that TDI ran like a swiss watch and the idea was to keep it running that way. I heard the ultra low sulphur fuel is hard on the high pressure fuel pumps so the idea was to do everything reasonable to keep from having to buy a new one ($$$$?). Overall cost was not bad and worth the possible long term cost to me. Sold back the TDI after 95k miles with no repairs at all.

Got a TDI (got to have it)
I am on my 4th VW diesel, my 2nd TDI now. I was told my 2003 TDI would need the fuel injection pump rebuilt at 100,000mi (they all do). NOT SO! I added RL-3 from day one to compensate for the low lubricity in the diesel fuel, and at 200,000mi the pump was in good shape still. Needless to say, my 2011TDI gets this additive as well. I it good insurance....... I definitely recommend this product buy RedLine.......

I've run Redline oil in my 7.3 since new. I now have 210,000 miles on the motor and injectors still pass the buzz test with flying colors. Well worth the price, only use 1 ounce per 20 gallons. In cold weather, I mix the oil, 50/50 with diesel to make it easier to pour. I use a cleaned out Stabil container to keep in the truck and measure out the needed amount.

Amazing
Red line products are the absolute leader by far. I use all their products. Had an injector miss and in one bottle cured it right up!
