As another poster says box does say it is for Pond and Aquarium but it also confusingly says avoid bright sunlight and frost can damage unit. The only place I had to site the unit was on an exposed fence so will have to build an enclosure to house the unit to give it some protection from the Scottish weather. On the plus side delivery was very fast and at the price it is easily replaceable.So on to the review for the unit itself.After 3 months of completely green water, for the first time in 7 years, I was at my wits end. After trying everything else (chemicals included) I decided to purchase this unit as a last resort. I do have a UV built into my filter but that didn't make much difference to the pond being more like something a TV chef could whip up with a bag of frozen peas and a blender. Unit was ordered Sunday evening and arrived Wednesday, it was fitted that evening in about 10 minutes (very easy) I then went to bed dreaming of the fish I hadn't seen in months. Had a quick look before work next morning and glimpsed flashes of gold and silver in the water, fish!!! Thursday evening, less than 24 hrs after the unit had been fitted I could see three feet into the bottom of the pond. Amazing transformation in so little time very impressed with both the unit and service from suppliers.UPDATEAfter 18 months the unit is still providing crystal clear water, change bulb annually, Never got round to building enclosure and although unit has been exposed to severe weather it is still functioning perfectly.Great buy8 years later this is still going strong. Changed the bulb today, as I do every 6 months, and the unit is still looking as good as new. Even with the weather we get in North East of Scotland.

Great product for the price, reviews on here had me sceptical as to whether this would work at all! The before and after pictures taken 10 days apart and the pond is so clear now. I can see my terrapin now even when he's down the very bottom. Didn't have any hassle setting up the UV light, I just cut the intake hose and attached to the light. Got the filter going again and turned on the UV light. Water is perfectly clear now and I would highly recommend. My pond is 250lt.

I bought this after i got a bacterial bloom in my 200l aquarium which had started to turn the water cloudy. Very simple to fit - plumbed it into the return pipe of my fluval 306 in under 10 minutes - and has made a noticable difference to water clarity within a few hours.Does not come with a plug. If you are buying this product, be aware that there is a generous length of weatherpoof power cable but no plug on the end of it, to make it easier to wire up for a pond. I had to wire it up with a plug with a 3 amp fuse in order to use it on my aquarium.Would have given 5 stars but until i actually opened the box and looked at it with my own eyes, there was no mention anywhere about the lack of plug.

Fitted recently to 240l ice bath, to help keep the water clean and clear. A bit early to say if it’s helping, but certainly easy to fit with minimal impact on flow rate through chiller unit.Good connectors included and feels very well made.

Ive had problems with my pond for 2 years trying to keep it clean, and then i saw a review on here from a chap saying after installing this UV light his pond ran clear after 3 days, and he was spot on, 3 days mine is crystal clear, and problem solved. I cannot recommend this product enough. Heads up for people, you will need a pump to circulate the water to the uv light and back to your pond, I already one.

Very good UV sterilizer for my 200L aquarium. Only downfall is that there are no clear instructions included in the box on how to install this product (Water intake and outtake flow). Item also does not come with a plug and mounting screws.
