The Gold Standard for Miniature Engineering & Custom Staining
I am currently using this Basswood for a massive 1:12 scale project called "My Sanctuary"—a dream home that includes a Library, Bathroom, and a detailed Kitchen. This wood is the only material I trust for this level of precision. Why it’s perfect for serious builders: Exceptional with Natural Stains: I make my own stain using coffee instead of store-bought paint. This Basswood is perfectly absorbent—I use recycled grounds for a lighter, aged look and fresh coffee grounds when I want a deeper, darker finish. It takes the color evenly every time. Precision Engineering: I use a custom Dremel table saw for my cuts. This wood handles power tools beautifully and won't splinter as long as you pre-drill your holes for tiny hinges and screws. The "Invisible" Filler: I save all my sawdust to mix with glue for filler. Because the wood is so high-quality, the homemade filler blends seamlessly, which is vital when you have as many joints as a full house requires. Sturdy but Workable: It’s strong enough for structural walls but delicate enough for the tiny sliding drawers in my miniature refrigerator. If you are a serious crafter working on architectural models or detailed dollhouses, this Basswood is a must-have!

Balsa craft wood
With one clip on Amazon I was able to buy the perfect size, thickness and exact balsa wood needed for a special craft project. Wrapped and boxed very well, arriving in mint condition. Great product and company.

Work Great for Scroll Saw Projects
Good quality and the stability is there even after some pretty intense scroll saw work. I'm also looking forward to using this for my Laser CNC in the future.. I'm expecting that it will work even better on that.

Good for craft use. Thin and soft enough to cut with Exact-o knife.

Price great, but some warping.
Good deal overall, however the boards in the center were warped. I was able to cut them because I have a honeycomb and clips to hold them down. Assembling the pieces of the box was affected by the warping however. Wood is fickle. Getting through the mail you never know what you will be getting. The price is attractive enough to see if I can make things work. They were all able to be cut with one pass on the laser so the thickness is pretty uniform.
