Beautiful book.

A very full book of stories, lots to read. But no pictures so I was disappointed.

Bought for my new baby nephew for his mum to read him stories i loved as a child.

Gave as a gift. Looks lovely with the gold edged pages. Pages weren't too transparent; printing not too obvious on the back side of the pages.

I am an avid reader of just about anything and now with grandchildren am reading traditional fairytales to the kids before the PC brigade get fairytales banned. I bought the kindle version which is convenient to use without lights whilst reading to the little ones. The tales are shortened versions which works fine with toddlers. I would prefer the printed version because of the artwork pictures. Even though one needs a light at night, I read with the kids all the time and my darlings often grab my hand to come and read. The four year old reads to the two year old with the aid of pictures. The printed books help a child’s imagination and stimulates interest and questions All that said, the printed version is ridiculously expensive for a thin book, large print and shortened story versions educational and entertaining

This book is like holding treasure! Something to be passed down through the generations. Either read to very young children as bed time stories or for older children and adults to enjoy. I like that it has no illustrations as a child’s imagination will be better than any illustrator could accomplish. What you’re getting here is well over a hundred short stories that have been enjoyed over and over again for the past 200 years by a fantastic author presented beautifully.

Arrived in great condition. Lovely gift for my partner: the cover is exactly as pictured with pretty colours & a deeper inset texture to the text and detailing, the edges of the pages are gold, and there's a handy ribbon bookmark.

The book came in perfect condition! It’s a must have for anyone collecting classic books! Although the book doesn’t have any pictures in it but the print is good and overall the stories are good. Highly recommended

I am happy with buy. Many stories i knew but so many more that i didn't. I find it cute that they have included the year the stories were written.

A superb edition, complete and true to the originals. The volume has an excellent tactile feel, solid binding, and decent paper. All the classic tales are included in one place, making it both practical and enjoyable to read.

Author needs no introduction. Best fairytales for young minds. A must have in your library.
