Hair dye shampoo

This is the best product for coloring hair! I love how easy it is to use. It is not messy either. I love that it can be stored for multiple uses.

“Shockingly Good — Bye Bye Box Dyes!” I never write reviews, but this product honestly blew me away. I have micro locs, and I’ve tried everything — henna, box dyes, you name it. Nothing ever gave me that rich, even color. My grays always turned a weird brown instead of black. But this shampoo? Wow. It turned my hair jet black — glossy, even, and beautiful — in just 20 minutes. I couldn’t believe it. I’ll never waste time with box dye or henna again. This stuff works so well and it’s easy to use. Highly, highly recommend.

This product is amazing. It covers not only roots you can see, but the whole she-bang - the parts you can't see, like the back of your head. After years of using standard box dyes for roots, I'm thrilled to have found this product, which I find much better, for its full coverage. What you may not glean from the other reviews: 1. It's super-duper messy. The dye gets everywhere - on you and your surroundings. What I learned: To prevent stains on you, put Vaseline or a blocker cream around your hairline and ears. To prevent them on your home, cover all nearby surfaces (and then some). If you'll be showering the dye off and have a shower curtain, don't be surprised that it will get stained. 2. Use the little clear plastic dickey that comes with the dye to cover your shoulders and upper chest (it's like a short version of a dry cleaner's garment cover, but with elastic around the neck). But remember to smear Vaseline on your arms, chest, and neck to prevent serious staining. 3. The color coverage is excellent. The only thing it doesn't cover are those stubborn grays around the hairline. But what really does? 4. The dye comes off, visibly, every time you wash your hair. It also comes off on your towels and can drip onto your bathrobe. I recently traveled and brought my own towels - black ones, like they use at a salon - so as not to ruin my host's towels. 5. Some people reported allergic reactions. That will always vary from person to person. I'm okay on that front, but do find the chemicals a bit irritating just on day one. In summary, I find this product messy, but effective. A product improvement would be for the manufacturer to offer tips or product (i.e., better than Vaseline, which only works partly) to prevent stains - and more than two of those dickeys in the box.

Good product and doesn't hurt my psoriasis as much as a regular box of color. It lasts about 2 weeks until you see your grays again. Easy to use and made with natural ingredients

I was pleasantly surprised by this coloring shampoo. It does a great job covering stubborn greys and lasts quite a while. I’m still getting used to the application process. I like the fact that it came with 2 pairs of disposable gloves and a cape. The gloves obviously are one use only but in my case the cape can be reused. The smell is somewhat unpleasant. At first it smells kind of like rancid garbage or fish then at some point it switches to a chemical hair color smell. It doesn’t linger afterwards. I also used this on my eyebrows with a clean spoolie and it worked well. I’ve had no issues with staining. I tend to be messy and even in the process when it’s sat on my counter for a few minutes it cleans right up. Speaking of clean it makes my hair very clean. My hair looks shiny, beautiful and somehow the magic of it lets me go a couple of days without looking like I fell into a bucket of olive oil because I have this problem frequently with oily scalp. I wish I could use this regularly. If you’re on the fence just go for it and give it a try.
