KastKing Kalibrate Line Spooler – Portable, Compact, Fishing Line Spooling Tool W/Line Counter for Spinning and Casting Reels

If you did not know, you need to use a line boss on your new line reel to keep proper tension while loading the spinning/casting reel. A lot of lines will come with the boss on the reel or you can purchase an adjustable on your fishing store. KastKingI sells them. If you don't have one, you can keep one hand lightly on the spool to monitor tension but that is not an ideal method.The line counter on my last reel load did not work for some reason. I didn't realize it until my reel was getting full so I am not sure how much is on it.

I wish I could have gotten this twenty years ago, would have saved me so much frustration!Does a fantastic job of loading your reel. I've used it on one bait casting reel and two spinners.I love the fact that it's compact enough to fit in my portable fishing storage box.If you love to fish you need one, you won't be disappointed.

I was using a pencil and wedging my spool of line into a nook in my garage. It wasn’t the easiest way for me to spoil my line, but it worked. I bought this thinking it would be better, and it is, but only marginally.

Easy to set up and use for adding line to the reel although you have to do a bit of finageling to adjust the tension between the T-Bar and strap but the lever for the counter is super cheesy! It fell of and could never get it fixed to count the line.

I dont have to bother the old lady to hold the spool anymore.

this is a good product and very easy to use. the tension arm lever has a tendency of coming of and can be difficult to align.
