I’m not one to depend on laxatives often, but when I do, I prefer something that doesn’t feel harsh or cause cramping. ClearLax hit that balance pretty well. After taking the recommended dose, relief came within about 12–24 hours (not instant — but that’s expected). When it worked, it was smooth and gentle: no sharp cramps, no sudden urge panic, just a “normal” bowel movement the next day. I felt lighter, less bloated, and like things finally moved along properly. The powder mixes easily in water, the taste is mild, and it doesn’t leave me feeling groggy or weird afterward. I also like that I don’t feel dehydrated or shaky — sometimes with laxatives you worry about that. Downsides: because it isn’t super fast-acting, it might not be ideal if you need something ASAP (like within a few hours). Also, I wouldn’t treat it as a daily go-to laxative — for me, it works best as an “as-needed” helper when things have backed up. I've ordered the unflavored version of the ClearLax before, but wanted to try the orange flavor this time. The taste is pleasant and light - just enough orange without being overbearing. The product works quickly and effectively - exactly as intended. It's easy to swallow with no chalky aftertaste, and the 8.3 ounce size is ideal - not too small or too large - making it convenient for travel. By following the directions, I was able to prepare and drink it easily, with no issues at all. A solid and reliable product at a valued price.

This product is priced much better than any local store.

this stuff is a double edge sword, it does what you want it to, but you shouldn’t use it very often. my mother used it daily for years and developed complications from a protein deficiency. this coats the inside of your intestines to make everything flow smoothly, but blocks the absorption of protein and nutrients at the same time, which is how its cousin antifreeze (another form of glycol) kills pets that drink it, they literally starve to death even though they are eating because they can no longer absorb any nutrients. if you can get by with bisacodyl, it’s much safer, save this for when nothing else works…

This is excellent for colonoscopy prep. I mixed this orange flavor with 64 ounces of clear apple juice and thought it tasted great--even though it's mixing apples and oranges LOL. But seriously, I was happy to drink it and glad to have found it for such a great price here on the mighty Amazon! The exam went smoothly and the doctor said my prep worked as expected, so this Clearlax will definitely be my go to for future exams. Highly recommended!!!

Just can't take the slime in my mouth for a couple of hours after drinking this. Although the orange taste was good and it worked good. The major brand I used never left slime in my mouth so I have to switch back. I used the whole bottle in hopes it would go away. Sadly it didn't ..cause the price is awesome.

She loves the light orange taste and appreciates that it isn't gritty, making it easy to mix into her juice. Importantly, it's been gentle on her system with no issues of bloating. It's a reliable and easy-to-use product with a pleasant flavor.

Rarely worked for me. Some people need stronger type laxatives.
