Excellent and do the job well.

Genuinely surprised how good these are. I regularly spatchcock chicken and thought I'd give them a run for their money on a 2kg bird. I would conservatively estimate they let me get the job done in half the time that it takes with my Fiskars kitchen scissors. The plan is to use these on a Turkey for Christmas, and I think they'll make short work of it. The small blade is serrated, which is both a pro and a con. It can't be sharpened. So I don't see these being a buy-it-for-life product like my Fiskars, but they will handle heavier duty jobs. For the price, I feel they're entirely worth while.

Used several times now to spatchcock chickens. No problem cutting the bones and trimming wing tips off. Easy to clean to, but sharp! Watch your fingers!

I bought these primarily for spatchcocking chicken, because normal household scissors aren't really up to the task. These, however, could be used to butcher a rhinoceros. Do they work? Oh yes! Are they slightly frightening? Oh my God yes! They're huge, sharp and could take off your fingers if you're not careful. That said, when you've done yourself an injury, they do come apart really easily for cleaning. Although the tiny screw that holds then together and the internal spring could very easily be lost. There's a spare spring, they could do with providing a spare screw too.

Why have I never had one of these before? It cuts through a chicken backbone with such ease. Even with arthritis in my hands I found it worked well.

Not tried them yet, but they look sturdy and more than capable of doing the job (unlike my previous one). Not sure how to separate the two blades yet though.

The best scissors I have purchased so far. So easy to clean as the two halves separate from each other making cleaning so easy.

i bought these because my hands have started to shake so i needed an alternative to using a knife. this is an excellent alternative. they are easy to use. they are comfortable in your hand. they are easy to clean. it's easy to take them apart if necessary, to clean them and then put them back together. they are definitely rust resistant, just don't put them away wet. i keep mine in a drawer, they dry in no time so putting them away wet is not a problem (i don't have a dishwasher so they are handwashed) there's a hook on the bottom of one handle that keeps the shears closed so there's no worry about accidentally cutting yourself when picking them up. not only are they pretty, a side benefit, they work great. they cut through the skin, flesh, and bones of a chicken or any other poultry. i have also used them on lamb and pork. i've used them on some vegetables depending on how i wanted them cut. they're a great tool, a good companion to your favorite kitchen knives.
