This makes for a fantastic vehicle scanner. We tried it on a number of makes and models within the parking lot with constant success in terms of anything we wanted access to (except for one, which I'll get to at the end). Go figure, not a single vehicle has a check engine light with posted codes (or pending ones either). Given that is a good thing. The interface is quite easy to get along with and learn your way through. We didn't even find ourselves bothering with the instructions at all. We walked ourselves through it almost instantly. Of course, we do have experience with working with many other models out there as well. When it comes to usefulness, this one reminded us a bit more like a prosumer option or something Auto Zone would walk out with to check your codes with. This was quite impressive since it feels like such a simple device. Then again, the price tag isn't so simple, so things begin to make a little more sense there. Build-quality is pretty decent. Nothing hardcore like you'd find in a shop, so you will want to take care of it. However, we can't think of any reason that it wouldn't last you quite a lot of years of use. I mentioned "constant success" outside of a single vehicle. This vehicle was scannable and most basic functions should work just fine. However, it is a Mercury and there is no Mercury listed in the scanner. We thoughtt that was funny (although the driver didn't). It wasn't that long ago that Mercury was dissolved, but many websites and instruments were quick to drop it from their list of options. Getting back to the point though, we found this to be a great scanner. The display is easy to read, options are easy to browse through (and understand if you have experience with advanced scanners), the cable is more than long enough, and it felt like money well spent. **If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so we know. A must have tool to save money and diagnose issues. And customer service/support from Ancel seller Top-Tool ,and Ancel USA. I’ve never had so much support for updating my tool with success. Had emails answered from all the above and also the manufacturer. Looking forward to purchase Ancel products again. They stand behind their products.

Got this for my 2018 Yamaha Star Venture. I contacted ANCEL to see if it works for my bike. They sent me a list of what Yamaha bike works with this. Yamaha Star Venture was not on the list.

I have only used this so far to check my transmission temps so I could perform an oil change at the correct temp on my Tundra. Worked great, and easy enough to figure out how to use without reading instructions. Luckily I have not had to use it for anything else yet!

Received Ancel FX2000 scanner and was looking forward to its MAGICAL abilities......THAT IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS....download does not download, sent company an email about the download problem and took a little more than 24 hours to get a reply, and reply was the download procedure instructions that was the same as the one that came in the box but had a few more pictures. tried calling customer service twice, both times office recording said office is closed, I should have realized I was calling China, 18 hour differences. Called Amazon customer services and explained to the customer services rep. my problem and that I would like to return scanner and get a refund so I could buy another scanner and the Rep. tells me my only option is to have a replacement sent. I had trouble with the 1ST scanner I don't want to take a chance and go through the problem again. Rep. says this is the only option offered. Can't believe what I'm hearing. Sooooo I'm stuck. Will see, 2nd scanner arrives in 5 days. Buyer be CAREFULL, Ancel FX2000. I have Amazon customer service on SPEED DIAL if this doesn't work out.
