The Dinosaur Figure, Ankylosaurus , 8.2cm

My boys love dinosaurs and have a small collection of Papo and Schleich dinosaur figures. Papo's ankylosaurus is one of the best dinosaur figures for the money. The detail and texture of the ankylosaurus is stunning. It is beautifully modeled and hand painted, even the ankylosaurus's tongue inside its mouth is painted a dark pink! Both my 3 year old and 1 year old love playing with the ankylosaurus. It is durably built, having no problem taking the abuse. The paint does come off though from wear and tear. It is most noticeable on the edges of the feet. The natural history museum in the city I live carries both the Papo and Safari Ltd ankylosaurus and I've seen Schleich's version in Walmart. Papo's ankylosaurus is hands down the best looking of the three, worth the few extra dollars spent. If there is one complaint to be made about the ankylosaurus it would be that it is proportionally smaller than many of the other dinosaurs my kids have. It is worth noting that the Safari Ltd and Schleich ankylosaurus are roughly the same size as the Papo. I highly recommend this product for any dinosaur fan.

i recently purchased the nile crocodile by papo and i had 9 dollars left and knew i had seen that price before. i purchased this knowing i would have a new king in my Dino collection as well as an animal which i could use to finally play zoo with my sisters. when they got here i was so excited! the ankylosaurus dosen't disappoint in the least! now,i don't have any other papo dinos,but i've seen pictures,and i have to say without a doubt their all great,but this guy's my fave! a perfect yellow belly with brown back makes him look armored and provides guidelines as to where his weak point is. now this is big for some but i'm okay with it,the back has spikes. they appear to be bone and look awesome! now his eyes aren't a disappointment,more of a shocker. their orange with pupils,which i never in a million years would have expected to be the color. now in his mouth,it's not articulated like their t rex and other carnivorous dinos (actually,i don't think any of papos herbivores have mouth movement.) but it is colored and has a tongue perfectly sculpted. next it's paint has a glossy finish to make it appear more reptilian. his tail is awesome looking but if any complaint it is that the tail is to high to hit almost any of my dinos,then again papo dinos are made to fight other papo dinos,not the ones i have from the animal planet dino family pack,so i can't really fairly complain. it's pose suggests a head on fight of pure hatred! (basically,i'm saying he looks like he could kill any other Dino within a mile!) it's smaller than expected,but that makes it even better to fight my other dinos! if you asked me to make an ankylosaurus how i would want it to look,this would be dead on! papo read my mind! best ankylosaurus toy out there,and an awesome price to! he hasen't lost a battle yet!

This Brachiosaurus is the best model that ive seen and I take the best models from numerous brands for my collection. I'm particular and the detail is awesome. I only have one but I intend to get at least two more for the grandkids to play with. The Ankylosaurus and stegosaurus are quality, beautiful models.

Papo's Jurassic Park-inspired highly-detailed toy models in dynamic poses, with this one having a static molded jaw. Much like Papo's other figures, these are highly detailed and painted fairly elaborately. They have a lot of details both on the mold and paint job. The only downside is that they are all not to scale with each other, but that would be a large feat to accomplish. Also, unlike figures from PNSO or Haolonggood, these are not scientifically accurate, but for an artistic rendition of a mashup between a museum collectable and a Jurassic Park toy, they're pretty awesome. I wouldn't recommend these toys for anyone younger than 6, or 5 years old who doesn't throw, destroy, or put things in their mouth. While these are toys, with enough force they can be damaged or destroyed. This is was not one of their better design ideas, as this one is supposed to be Ankylosaurus, but instead looks more like Euplocephalus. The mouth isn't moveable but is okay as the pose permits the resulting choice. The surface has a satin finish and nice detailing.

Nice stocking stuffer

Same as the Brachiosaurus good in size to others in the Papo line,the stance great and color not bad but they are using grey and green to much.We do know like reptiles now dinosaurs had to come in many colors.Now we are not saying anything flashy,only maybe around the face could have been to get a mates attention or ready to fight.Some may have done this on spin plates to.But here I go giving science again,back to the Ankylosaurus figure.It is the best figure out there,only by way of a good model or a statue can you do better.Also again it would cost to a lot more.This Papo figure is a great looker and I don't think anyone could beat the price Amazon had.If Amazon still has the Papo Brachiosaurus and Ankylosaurus I say YES! Do not think about it if you have been looking,buy them from them.I would say also to look at their price on other Papo dinosaurs they have.If these were such a good price others must be to.The shipping was good and timely.

I love Papo Dinosaurs for there realistic details and the Ankylosaurus, though one of the smaller models, keeps up the tradition of realism and fine detail. They tend to be relatively expensive by if you are using them in a display rather than playing with them as a toy I think it's worth it. They seem to be pretty tough as far as keeping their paint because I have yet to receive one with any surface damage. The pose on this one is good as well.

I bought this with my son in mind (so he's far too young to appreciate it but he'll grow to love it...okay so it was really for me, I give in!) and it didn't disappoint. It's a very detailed, solid figure of the armoured dinosaur Ankylosaurus looking like it's about to get a bit rough and ready. It's already endured being trodden on, thrown around and fed to the dog and there isn't a mark on it. It is a great little figure and the level of detail probably lends itself more to a model than a toy. Being solid and covered in protruding bones it's a little bit unforgiving for very young children but is extremely hard wearing. I would recommend this as an educational piece, for children or for a dinosaur fanatic looking for an authentic representation of a very interesting Thunder Lizard. Great little product!

Nice dinosaur and paint job

I bought this for my husband's birthday (it's his favourite prehistoric animal). He was delighted and impressed with the quality and heft of the figure. He showed it to our granddaughter (via Facetime), and it was fun to watch his enthusiasm over it. Would definitely purchase again, especially at the price ($11). A good handful (in size) and nice detailing. Sits level on a flat surface.
