Perfect pencil sharpener for different sized pencils too!

Bought for the other half so that I could get exclusive use of my pencil sharpener when we are both deep in our colouring books! Mine is probably fairly vintage but an excellent sharpener so I was looking for something of the same quality for my partner. This sharpener seems extremely effective. The ability to use two different diameter holes is good but the important thing is that it does sharpen very well indeed. The container is very good and there is little chance of accidentally opening it. Very good buy indeed at a reasonable price

I love stationary. This is not a trivial item for me. Nice feel "in the hand". Easy to revolve either the pencil or the sharpener. Nice appearance. Just the right size for a busy desk. Sharpens the pencil to a satisfyingly pointy point. I'm an Everton fan so blue is a good colour for me. This sharpener is a nice blue. It will become my friend.

My 84-year old Mum enjoys colouring and I purchased this for her. How the sharpener works and how well she can use it is very good, BUT she cannot open it up to clear out the contents. A great sharpener, but not so good for those with arthritic hands for removing contents.

I got tired of buying those cheaper sharpners repeatedly, which tend to break pencils, and never quite give a sharp point needed for neat school work. I'd bought Staedtler products before and was very happy with them like the ergo grip colouring pencils pack of 24. The top is secure so unlike other covered sharpners I've bought, the minute it starts to get full or the children forget to empty it even though it's almost full to bursting, the top won't pop right off leaving the floor shrewn in shavings! The double hole is handy for larger pencils or those not regularly shaped. If the children can manage not to lose it. I think it will last quite a long while compared to those I have had to repeatedly replace because they break or aren't effective. Should save some pennies!

Bought this because I find that all my sharpeners aren't sharp enough and damage the pencil so I wanted to do my good quality pencils justice. It's great because you don't get grey residue all over your pencil case or anywhere else because of the lid and the tub space where the sharpenings go. Definitely buy this if you want a decent sharpener and it's not very pricey.

For standard round or hexagonal coloured pencils, it's a good sharpener, however very poor with triangular pencils. It dulls extremely quickly, chews the wooden casing and breaks the leads. I have wasted so much of my pencils. It lasted 5 days and that's with using the big hole blade, so two blades in 5 days. Not sustainable. Very disappointed as I have always bought Staedler, had Staedler products over 40 years...this isn't one of them.

It is almost impossible to pull apart the top and bottom to empty the shavings, three hands could do it easily but not two, I'll toss it when it's filled up.
