Prochef Square Cake Tin Premium Quality with Teflon's Silicone Coating, Black, 24cm

Very thick and heavy gauge metal construction, with what appears to be a very good coating of nonstick material. Although I didn’t buy it to use as a cake tin, I’m sure it would stand up to many years of use for that purpose. I actually got it to use as a cloche for new Cadac BBQ! Get ready for an epic tail! In a galaxy far, far away, not too long ago, Cadac invented the Cook 2 series of bbq’s. After the success of the Cadac 2 cook 2 series, they released a slightly larger version, called the Cadac 2 cook 3, cementing their dominance and ingenuity for providing perfect solutions to outdoor cooking….. whilst optimising the opportunity to take advantage of a very lucrative and loyal customer base (of which I am). And for this latest version, they released a cooking dome/cloche specifically for this model, which was too big for the Cadac 2 cook 2. Who knows why they didn’t provide one for the very slightly smaller cooking plate version, as Cadac are normally very astute and switched on to any accessory for their range of bbq’s. A trick indeed missed…..to date! Because of this missed trick, and after searching the universe for a similar cloche type product, to no avail, a lowly earthling sought out a solution for the quandary set out before him, and hence the purchase of this item! He simply drilled a hole in the centre of the base, (after meticulously measuring and calculating the exact centre), inserted a very cheap pan style knob, and Robert is your father’s brother, devised a method for constructing a very good quality, top-notch, state of the art cloche that fits the 2 cook 2 cooking plate! After adding a couple of ventilation holes along the base (equally meticulously and skilfully measured to be symmetric, because of his fastidious and fussy nature), the task was indeed completed, and the world rejoiced, for this simple man had sought, and discovered, a solution to a problem suffered by many. Anyhoo, the cake tin fits on the 2 cook 2 plate with about a centimetre to spare on either side, and works perfectly as a cloche/cooking lid/roasting lid/keep the heat in lid, and the lovely rounded non-stick smooth edges won’t damage the cooking plates, at around a third of the cost of the slightly larger branded dome……which doesn’t fit my bbq! Now as this tale comes to an end, you would assume that all is now resolved and well, but no, there is a sting in the tail of this epic and incredulous tale! I would have preferred a tin that fit within the extreme edges of the cooking plate, but couldn’t find one, and would have probably paid the asking price if there was a branded specific item to match the one that is available for the slightly larger version, but there isn’t! So in short, this is a fantastic, good value, top quality cake tin, which, when adapted, can double as something completely different.

My old Yorkshire pudding tin was getting annoyingly ropey. My puddings were sticking and the tin never looked clean so I decided a new one was required. I ordered this based on the good reviews and I’m very pleased with it. The tin is heavy and excellent quality and a great non stick finish. The pudding sizes are good and the tin is a great depth for getting a top notch pudding. I tested it ( much to my pudding loving Husbands delight) on the day it arrived. The puddings turned out perfect. Very well risen and just slid out of the tin. I was able to wipe it clean in soapy water with a dish cloth. No scrubbing, no left over bits , just sparkling clean. I never put my pudding tins in the dishwasher but I suppose you could if you wanted to. I’m hoping this will give me many years of use and actually it’s not a lot more expensive than those thin poor quality ones....bet it lasts a lot longer. So if you have a pudding mad family then I would definitely recommend this tin. It’s bound to be used every Sunday in our house.

This loaf tin is a good weight and a good size for a 2lb loaf. Other 2lb loaf tins are smaller. I’ve ordered another one.

The trays look well made and sturdy, the sections are large with ridges around the edge which is a nice touch, I have not had chance to test them yet but as I was washing them ready for first use I have noticed a small rough bump inside one of the dishes which I can only assume is a manufacturing defect and will probably affect the non-stick ability, the trays were cheap enough that I'm not too bothered by this and still look forward to using them.

Se ve solida y de muy buena calidad. Además de para Yorkshire pudding la puedes usar para lo que se te ocurra. Muy contento.

i wish i had never bought it, not as good as they say, doesn't rise and burns the bottom of the yorkshires, using the same recipe as I have used in 20 years

These are the best tins I have ever owned and being a lifelong baker for over 60 years, I have owned plenty. The quality is outstanding. They are heavier than the average tins yet the price is very competitive. Similar quality tins from other sellers cost at least double. These tins are completely non-stick and the loaves( I tried bread, fruit loaf and Brioche so far), all of which baked evenly, slid out of the tin just by leaning it sideways. They are 7cm deep which is 1cm deeper than the average loaf tin and this seemingly small matter makes a huge difference to keeping loaves rising well without the mushroom shape when the mixture goes over the top that sometimes happens in shallower tins. The only thing I have found to watch out for is that the outside of the tin is just as slippery as the inside and needs careful handling to avoid it slipping from your hand. Despite this small matter, I would buy the tins again without hesitation though they look and feel solid enough to last many years.

Diese Form ist äusserst unpraktisch, da ihr kleine Griffleistchen oder ähnliches zum Herausnehmen aus dem Rohr fehlt! Ausserdem ist diese Form nur für Gemüse o.ä. brauchbar, Kuchen kleben an!! und sind nicht aus der Form zu kriegen, weil man sie ja auch schwer stürzen kann, weil man sie ja nicht angreifen kann!
