Early signs good.
THIS IS NOT EFFECTIVE ON POLYETHYLENE. This is what it says on the instructions and I haven't seen that in the blurb or reviews online so thought you might like to know. I have so far fixed two things with this: 1 kettle, on/off switch was broken, flimsy bit of plastic just inside the body of the kettle and never thought I'd find anything to stick it and could find no spares for this John Lewis model online. It worked so saved cost of new kettle, not sure how much but not a cheap one! 2 shredder, ridiculous/cheap design meant that a crucial cog that slid over the metal shaft of the shredder teeth was plastic. After a couple of years the hexagonal edges that gripped the shaft rounded off and the teeth would no longer turn so no shredding. Tried fixing it with Araldite, plumbers putty etc to no avail. I enlarged the hole a bit and made a few slots in the plastic radiating from the centre to fill with Q Bond powder and added the superglue to it, outside in plenty of air! It now works. Time will tell how long for. I'm hopeful about the kettle but the shredder puts such a load on the piece I will not be surprised if it fails, like it did after the areldite/putty repair, but who knows. Q Bond failed on one thing, the clip holding the drainage tube to the back of the washing machine but the bit that broke was so thin and had to be pub under such strain to push it into a metal slot that this is hardly surprising. This appears to be an excellent product even though its early days!

Impressive product
I used Q-Bond to repair a small crack in the bellypan of my Triumph. It was easy and quick to use and because I could use the black powder, it matched my paintwork well. It was fortunate that the part I was working on was easy to remove from the bike because the surface to be repaired needed to be sitting horizontally until the repair was done.

Great Product
Just used Q Bond to repair the fairing on my 26 year old Kawasaki, I am really impressed with how easy it was to use and the strength of the repair. I found that it works best if you build the repair up in small sections so that you dont flood the area with superglue. So far the repair has held good and theres no flexing around it. I will be buying again and Im looking for something else to repair.

Good Stuff!
I'm guessing that the glue part of this is 'Super Glue' of some sort (x2 good-sized bottles), but it seems 'industrial strength' compared to other offerings. The included instructions are rather lacking, but there are a couple of decent videos on YouTube that may help you get an idea of applications and the "how to" aspects. What makes the product special is the additional 'filling powders' that come in grey or black. I assume the grey is intended to match an alloy/aluminium finish for metal parts. You can just use the glue part, but chances are the part you're mending is weakened and will probably break again. However, you can use the filling powders to substantially strengthen the mend - just drip some extra glue on or around the mend and then sprinkle on some powder. Be aware - it really does only take 10 seconds to set rock-hard, so be prepared to work very quickly! If you build-up around the 'stress points' you really can get the part close to its original strength (provided you've got room to apply the powder). The strength of the mend is really down to thinking through how best to strengthen it with the powders, and taking time to get the application right. I found it easier (and in one case, more precise) to place some powder first and then drip on some glue - it didn't seem to make any difference, as long as you're careful not to apply too much glue and drip it everywhere!

This is the best product around for plastics - forget those in DIY places. It is versatile, quick and is provided with powdered plastic, to be used as a filler, if small chips were lost, say, in the original break., or to use to re-inforce a joint. You can also build up in stages if required, and the filler can be filed smooth if required.

Amazing stuff
Great stuff. Sets like concrete. Used it to fix headlight backed after trying numerous other things but nothing worked as the vibration of the car would break it again. This stuff set within seconds and is still holding 3 months later. Probably stronger than the original bracket

First off- I ordered this from Amazon, but the package I received was in rough shape. The box was ripped in multiple places, the labels on the cement were yellowed and had fallen off, and one of the bottles of cement had been opened already. Both bottles were less than crystal clear. I was in a time crunch and since this stuff is supposed to have a 2 year shelf life, I tried the open bottle. Unfortunately it wouldn't stick anything together. Even got some on my fingers and no sticking. Contacted Amazon and they issued a refund, no hassle. Set to work getting another (hopefully fresh) pack. Including this info because clearly this was just a bad/old package and should not be a reflection on the product, but a note to look for yellowing labels or liquid if you get it because it's probably a sign the product is past it's shelf life. Got a second pack and then fell in love with this stuff. It's now one of my favourite hidden gems. I was installing a rear dash cam in my Jeep and decided to take the time to run the cable through the the factory wire tubes and under the rear lift trim so it wasn't dangling. In the process of removing the trim panel, I broke 5 of the plastic mounts that the trim fasteners attach to (see pic). I've tried many kinds of adhesives including many epoxy and super glue products in the past to try and mend broken plastic things, but nothing has ever worked. I figured I was going to have to replace the whole trim panel, but then saw Q Bond on a Youtube video. With a fresh pack in hand, I followed the process on the first broken tab- apply the glue and hold the pieces in place for 20 seconds. I waited 30. Let go and the piece held. Then I sprinkled some of the black powder on one side of the now re-attached tab, poured some glue on it and watched it smoke. Flipped it over and repeated on the other side, then tested it. It was rock solid, so I installed the metal clip and repeated the process with the rest of the broken tabs. All went great except one. On one of them, I didn't line the tab back up correctly as the glue set, so it was at a weird angle. I had to file down the hardened black powder to get the clip on, so there wasn't much left supporting the glue. Decided to re-install the trim back in the Jeep and finish installing the dash cam around lunch time on Christmas day, before heading out to visit family. Everything clipped back into place except the one I had botched. It broke off. I was scared to take the panel back off because although it had snapped in firmly back in place, I thought that prying the clips back out may re-snap the plastic tabs. So... I tried to fix the last one in-place on the Jeep. Bad idea. Long story short, because of the position, when I tried to apply the glue to the black powder, some of it dripped on my fingers. Unlike with the first pack, this time three of them boded together instantly. In a mad panic, and suddenly envisioning Christmas day in the Emergency Room, I raced to the bathroom and used a lot of hot water, soap and gentle prying. Eventually I got them separated. Crisis avoided! Not wanting to go through that again, I opted to risk removing the trim panel again, and to my amazement, not a single tab broke off. I re-did the one I botched (you can just sand or file off the old glue/powder and start from scratch), put the clip on and plopped the trim back in place. It's been on for 4 months and no issues. I've since used it again to repair a dust bag attachment for my palm sander. It broke years ago and I keep cobbling it together with duct tape because I can't find a replacement. 30 minutes of cleaning and 5 minutes of applying Q bond, and now I finally have a solid, working dust bag. If you need to fix broken plastic, this will do it. The piece doesn't look clean and tidy after you apply it, so not for something that needs to look nice, but for things like car parts and tools where it won't be seen or doesn't need to look good, but needs to be strong, this is killer. Two obvious tips- make sure the fluid is clear and not yellowing to be sure you have a fresh product. The initial glue should bond the plastic together and hold it in place within seconds. If it doesn't, it's old. And make sure you wear gloves!

The best glue ever although a little expensive

Ordered this because I'd picked it up at a local parts store about a year ago. Finally ran out of the glue. But this stuff works swimmingly! It's a bit touchy to use for anyone who is inexperienced, but QBond is quite an impressive adhesive. Just as it claims, it bonds materials within seconds. At times, if the ambient temp is low or the relative humidity in the area is a bit high, the adhesive takes a little more time to fully set. Something to be mindful of. also, always wear nitrile gloves when handling this chemical, as it can very quickly bond the skin on your fingers together! They do provide information on how to resolve this if this does occur, within the box on the directions / warnings slip.

It's magic. Literally! I've struggled with epoxy for years - this stuff is the go.
