I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience to help anyone who’s deciding between a temporary beard color and a permanent dye, or wondering which brand is worth trying. Well, let me tell you this: I used to go through two boxes of permanent beard dye every month, spending about $30–$40. Each application took roughly 1.5 hours from start to finish and it was always a messy, time-consuming process: mixing, applying, waiting, rinsing, and drying. More importantly, after a while, my skin started breaking out. I was told that the reaction was likely caused by some of the chemicals commonly found in permanent beard dyes. That said, I decided to try several temporary beard-color products, but most of them still contained ingredients that irritated my skin. I suspect my skin had simply become very sensitive over time. Long story short, I recently discovered Volt, and so far, it’s the only product that has worked well for me without causing any issues. My guess is that the plant-based ingredients make a difference, although I can only speak from my own experience. Another major benefit is time and money savings. I now spend about a minute each morning, it costs me less than half of what I was spending before. So, when choosing a beard color, I’d encourage you to consider not only the price and results but also the potential effects on your skin which was the main deal breaker for me. I will probably stick with Volt in the future.

Do not buy. Doesn’t work at all even after making sure to follow the directions. Just gonna stick with Just for men brand

Absolutely fantastic product. Been using it to color in some gray hairs. Did not move at all when I was swimming in the pool. I also like that it does not leave a sticky residue like some other products. Highly recommend.

If the tube falls over it spills the dye onto your bathroom counter. Not good!

I had promised myself I would never dye my beard because I always thought the guys who went from gray to black overnight looked a little pathetic and trying too hard…well, when my beard started to get more and more Santa-ish I started entertaining the idea of dying it. I have tried Volt a couple times already and it can’t get any easier! It’s like applying mascara to your beard. And you can control how much gray you want to show so it looks more natural. The dye lasts for a few hours, making it appropriate for those times when you just want to look slightly younger for a photo op or an important event. You can notice it starts to fade about 5-6 hours after applying it. It washes away easily when you shower (but you can reapply easily the next day if you want to). I love it.

Great product! Takes me 10 seconds to apply. And comes off easily with soap.

Extremely difficult to apply with creating marks. Doesn’t matter how long you shake the container., when you first apply it it’s almost bone dry. Doesn’t do much. However, if you press it, it will leave solid marks that are very to wash out. Unless you have an extremely steady hand, be very very careful with this product

I bought this but used two times and the stick broke while I tried using it. It’s been more than a month so I not sure if I can ask for a refund. Anyway the contents mights be fine but the materials used are not good as the stick breaks and then u cannot use again as when it goes in to can not take out again… Disappointed

It defnitely isn't waterproof. The color will wash away as you wash your beard! Totally disappointed. Waste of my money.
