Pony up and spend the extra 5$ these shorts are excellent.The inner liner is the best ive tried and a truer compression style . Ive returned 3 different off brand shorts ,looking for the right fit ,material, size trying to spend as little as possible and be happy. That said ,they were all constructed well. All the sub 23 dollar shorts are a loose poly weave and that snags easily,all those shorts were sized small, i had to order a size larger, their liner not a true compression type liner but more a loose sleeve. All the off brand had shallow pockets ,some more than others. In the Fabeletic short the pockets are deep, there is no better short for the money, my only small complaint is no drawstring Thats it.

Waistband was too big for me and there's no drawstring to tighten them...I'd rather them be tighter than looser if there's no drawstring. Otherwise, they look and feel like nice gym shorts.

The material and over feel of the shorts is great! The inner lining is comfy and soft. Deep pockets too.But the reason I returned them is the waist band. I ordered a L and an XL just to make sure they fit. The L was great in terms of length and room but the waist band was super tight. Very uncomfortable. Granted I'm wear a 36 or 38 pant depending on if there's a bit of stretch in them. Even with their elastic waist band they were really tight. They also rolled over on the front side. The XL had all the good aspects of the larges. Very loose and free feeling. The negative was again the waist band. Instead if super tight like the larges it was too loose. Almost like there was hardly and elasticity. They honestly kept sliding down to my butt crack. I feel like I have to be either on the smaller side of the "Large size chart" or on the thicker side of the XL. I really wanted Fabletics shorts to workout cause they do feel great. Unfortunately they don't feel good enough to keep them. Maybe their shorts with a draw string would be better, but at almost $70 as a non VIP member....no thanks.

These fit me well personally and I say "personally" because these do not have a drawstring to tighten just in case if were to fit a little loose. These have a liner on the inside which fits well or bunch up. Really good quality shorts. These were on sale which is why I pulled the trigger and good thing I ordered 2!

What's good: the materials for the shorts are light and seem to be well sewn. The pockets are deep enough to be useful. The compression liner works. But that's the end of the positives in my opinion.Drawbacks: the shorts are tight for size. I wear Under Armour, Nike and Adidas shorts regularly with Speedo and Head thrown in for some activities. These shorts are a size smaller than any of my other shorts. The rise (crotch to waistband) seems less than my other shorts as well. And if you have a belly, you will get waistband rollover from these, most likely. First, because they're comparatively short-waisted. Second, because there is no drawstring (inside or out). The stretchy waistband might accommodate you if you buy a size up. If not, the lower, tighter position with no way to cinch it means it will likely roll over. Frustrating.If you're looking for a "slim" fit short, then these might actually fit you. I wouldn't recommend them any other way.

I used this product for personal training and loungewear. It’s a nice product with great pocket space. The liner on the inside makes it easy to choose between going commando and being fully clothed. They look great and typically I wear a 32 or 33 waist in jeans but a large actually cinched around my waist perfectly.
