It works and is quite compact
It’s quite compact. Flexible wires are best as screw contacts are not very big. I would not recommend trying to use solid copper wire such as 2.5 or 1.5twin and Earth. Wiring instructions are in very small print but wiring diagram printed on the unit are clear and simple. Smart life App installed onto my iPhone as well as my husbands. You need to sign up with the usual email & password. The App show a host of items , such as lights, plugs and other products so it can be tricky to select the correct category of use. Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to 2.4 GHz as it does not work with 5GHz. The App will look for your Wi-Fi ssid or name & then your enter your password. Only after you have signed up for the App should you connect the unit to power. On one side of the unit is a flush “tag” , it should start flashing, if not press it and hold for 6 seconds. When it is flashing (red on mine) Connect to the unit via the App by selecting +or add. You will hear a click when the tab is pressed to turn the connected item on/off and the same when using the App. It doe’s connect to Alexa & you can name it. Mine is fitted in the summer house for outside lights. It’s about 40 feet (12meters) away and has no problems with signal.Pros:- compact, easy to use works with Alex. So far no connection problems (only been installed one week) I had no problem setting it up next to my router, un plugging it and reinstalling it in the summer house, it was without power for 1/2hr and automatically reconnected to Wi-Fi. You can still use a “normal” switch to turn the item on/off or original light switch. ( check wiring first)Cons:- on way to mount it, wires on one side & manual on/off switch on the other flat edge . Mine is fixed with Velcro. Only small terminals for wiring. As with a lot of “gadgets “ setups need patience.

Easy to use and very responsive
Bought and installed in my garage to control outdoor festoon lighting connected to an external double socket. Surprisingly it fits within a standard sized metal clad socket (switched, LAP brand) within the garage so it keeps a nice clean install.I'm not an electrician but I am capable of basic electrical work, and the physical install is very easy and everything is labelled up making it straight forward to use.For the app set up, I used the app "Smart Life" as this is fairly universal and works with my smart plugs of another brand. Tip - when setting up use the "Socket (Wi-FI)" under the "Lighting" section. It automatically locates and links the relay within about 20 seconds.I've installed 2 of these so far and I did find after first installation it stops responding and needs resetting once (power off, not an app reset). They work perfectly afterwards so there may be a reason for this (I haven't checked the manual). We've had a few power cuts and they always reconnect with no issues. The second one I ordered has been installed in my greenhouse in an IP65 box to control some lighting. If it survives the massive temperature fluctuations I will be impressed - I will update if it fails. You can customise the names of the relays and the integration works flawlessly with alexa. They automatically work with alexa so no set up is needed there. When switching on with the app I was very surprised that there is no delay at all; akin to a normal light switch. They have the functionality to be used with physical switches in a similar nature to a 2-way light switch. I've yet to try this but that is my next project.

Works well but needs better documentation
I'm using this to control a heated towel rail.On the plus side, it's tiny and therefore easy to install hidden. And it works properly once installed. If you're happy using the Smart Life app (as I am) it's easy-peasy to create and modify as complicated a schedule as you could want. Haven't tried it with Google Home or Alexa but I imagine it'll be fine.On the minus side, the installation instructions are pants. "...Power on, the Buzzer will be make "DI~DI~DI~" sound...". Apart from the grammar, this is just not true - it doesn't make any sound, ever. This was confirmed when I asked the question here, both by other buyers and by the manufacturer. I couldn't get it to install automatically at all. Eventually I went through the app's manual install route: once you realise that it's in pairing mode when it's blue light flashes rapidly, and that the Smart Life app thinks it is a "Breaker (BLE+Wi-Fi)" then it all happens in a hurry.Overall, I'm entirely satisfied, but I think this might be very difficult if it were your first such device.

Simple and works
Had this for a couple of months now.First impressions were the unit was compact but we'll made. It was fairly self explanatory to install for anyone who is competent. It is small enough to fit in a deepish back box behind a standard 1 gang light switch. Wiring might be a bit fiddly for that setup but it's definitely doable. The unit paired first time with the Tuya Smartlife app. This was very good as some of these devices either don't pair or take a few attempts. It's clear this device has been properly tested for compatibility with the app.I also paired it with our Google Home, via the app. It's functioned as expected and worked consistently. It seems to hold the WiFi connection well. I have only had a single occurance of it losing the WiFi connection. It was resolved by powering off the unit for a couple of seconds then turning back on. The reboot restored the connection, all settings etc were remembered and restored.Overall a good, simple and we'll designed unit. I would definitely recommend.
