I was looking for a steamdeck case and came across this one, which seemed to have very positive reviews.Glad to say that I concur with all the positives that have been said. It's a ingenious design, one that is multifunctional. It consists of a hard shell which the steamdeck securely sits in, and a top section which clips onto the back via a powerful magnet to provide all over protection when you want to store it away.All the important ports on the steamdeck are still accessible via cut outs in the case, and it feels comfortable too hold, not adding too much weight overall to the console.Overall I think this is one of the best cases I have ever brought for any console, and I've no real gripes to say about it. It's fairly difficult to get in and out of the hard shell, but it's designed so that you don't need to, so I don't consider it a gripe.I wouldn't imagine that it would be able to fit in a dock with the case attached so keep that in mind.

This case is PERFECT, it not only protects the entire deck and has a cover for protecting the screen and sticks but its literally as easy as pulling the front off and it snapping back on magnetically for taking on and off.Super easy to use, perfect fit and has lasted me for months and can see it will continue to do a solid job of protecting my device for years to come.

Fast delivery considering this came from the US to the UK (7days)The case is as advertised :) overall, really happy with the purchasePros:- the cover offers solid protection and- fully covers the face of the steam deck with no gaps.- this new version of the flip cover now offers enough clearance for the thumb sticks- all the openings for the vents and ports are in the right places and provides enough clearance for cables to attach- this might a con for some, but the TPU case is a tight fit but once on, it feels really snug and nice to holdCons:- maybe a nit-pick and seems to be a reoccurring theme for all their cases but the clip does not feel very secure, I find it "best" to hook the clip first then attach the magnetic clip to the case- the magnet strip could be stronger tbh

Really good fit and provides good protection against drops and knocks. Unobtrusive while playing and all connectors and vents are open. Best of all the deck can be charged while the case is closed which is a big improvement over the zip up cases

This is a sturdy case that fits snuggly to the SteamDeck [SD] adding only a few mm to it's overall size.Comes in two parts - the tough rubber lower half covers the bottom and the sides of the SD, and provides access to the shoulder/bottom buttons, volume, power button and charging port. Use of the shoulder buttons will require a slightly different grip, but I am talking slightly and it felt perfectly natural again within minutes!The hard upper case has a magnetic hinge point where it snaps onto the bottom behind the SD and has a contoured surface which offers perfect protection for the thumbsticks without ugly corners or angles. The cover is fully detachable during play.My only gripe - and I'm stretching here - is that the upper cover obscures the small LED that shows when its charging, but hey!Folks, this IS the case to get. I've just been on holiday and threw my SD into my rucksack with my other junk and it was just fine.Five out of five.

This case is brilliant, it provides great grip than just the deck on its own and has a detachable front plate to cover the screen in storage.

Firstly this came in a paper bag from Amazon and it the lid was scuffed. Couldn't be bothered faffing about with a return and it's going to get marked regardless but still, up your game Amazon. I bought this as new and expected it to arrive as new.Okay so overall this is a very nice concept and allows you to conveniently protect the Deck's screen when storing it away and it's slim profile is also a bonus compared to the official zipped one. I love the materials used and the grip texture on the bottom makes it really comfortable to hold.A few things let it down though. Fit and finish isn't quite up to scratch and there's no way in hell the Deck slips in like shown in the video. You have the stretch the corners over the triggers. There's very little give. Moreover, the cut outs for the vent holes, aux port, power button, volume keys etc are misaligned. I'm not sure how they could have been so careless as to get this off?Also the shape of the shell could be more accurate and follow the contours of the Deck more closely. The lid also doesn't really latch on to the bottom lip convincingly. So much so that I find myself latching onto the lip before attaching the magnetic flap to the back of the Deck. You can literally just lift it so what is the point of the lip?A couple of other things - they made no consideration for thumbstick grips. Luckily the thinnest Skull & Co ones work perfectly without pressing down on the thumbsticks so I just swapped them over and the lip closes fine.I would feel more at ease if the magnets were on the lid strip rather than in the shell. I know it's not near the fan but still, better safe than sorry.Moreover I'm at a loss to explain why they did not include a pull out kickstand?I tried to be as thorough as I could with this review. Definitely a worthwhile purchase but could really do with more tweaking. I think you'd be satisfied despite its drawbacks, especially for the price. The lid sells it for me.Please release a revision taking into account the points I raised and perhaps in a few pastel colours to liven the Deck up - I don't like skins.
