not for long term use
I bought this for Idaho weather. So, for those that know, you understand. For those that do not, here is a quick run down: Idaho weather in the winter is often bone chilling cold (-5f, but feels like -10f and no wind), snowy, and when windy it is even colder...and it always just BITES into you. Yet by afternoon it warms to just above freezing for most of the winter, and only a few weeks that it never goes above 0f, with the exception of a worse winter every 5 years or so (meaning feet of snow measurements instead of inches being the norm for these years). In the summer we have the opposite, hovering at 100f and no wind for days on end. This was purchased for the cold weather, and that alone. So keep this in mind. This was purchased to cover a F150 windshield in order to prevent the need for ice scraping. Although this works decently well, it is problematic.I do not expect it to last the winter, and this is a mild winter so far (but expected to get worse).Pros:*Magnets keep the TOP in place, but nowhere else Note: they damage paint, and i already had one rip out of the material*The ties for inside hold decently*The material dries somewhat quickly*The material has a black side and a silver side, but I only use the black side out.*The material fits the windshield*The front can be fastened to the wheels to prevent wind loss*There are covers for the mirrorsCons:*The material is THIN....very thin....very fragile when cold!*The material is NOT durable, I already lost magnets*The magnets WILL scratch your paint, use only on older rigs you don't care about the paint job*The straps are poorly stitched, and made of poor material, it might last a month, but never more than one season*The hooks for the wheels are cheap plastic, expect them to break*The material will freeze to your window, even if applied dry (on any frost)*The flaps to put inside are also thin, closing the door causes it to lift due to air pressure, even when tied tight*Once the fabric lifts water gets under it and freezes to both the material and the windshield*The stitching started coming undone on the second use (started with the mirror covers, now it is all stitching)*The mirror pockets are attached with a thin, flimsy elastic cord that breaks quickly*The material is practically guaranteed to crack in the summer sun (but has not been tested in this)In summary, if you are purchasing this for a one season use, this might work. It might fail before you are done with it, but it is decently cheap for a season. Although I still think it is over priced. Personally I was hoping for a quality, high end REAL cover that had some thickness and durability to it. But you get what you pay for....

I was honestly concerned about the construction of this, as it is thin and doesn't seem like much. I live in central Pennsylvania and was waiting for "the big one" to hit. Well, last night it finally did. Woke up to about 6" of snow. Brushed the rest of the car off quickly and then lifted this and that snow slid right off!!!!! It was the most pleasant drive in the snow ever because there was no snow or ice under the wipers. I have a Subaru legacy, but it fits on my husband's f-150 as well.

update , nice fit cheap material and craftsmanship
great fit on my 2015 F150 super cab, wish I could find one this size and shape but with better material. I'm only giving 3 star because material is pretty thin I don't see this lasting to long . they should have put hooks or a buckle on the inner strap , and stronger hooks on outer strapUpdate, I put a buckle on the inside strap to make it easier to use and did the same with the tire straps, but it was all for nothing, ive' only used it 3 times and it is coming apart at the seems. it's to bad because it's a nice fit, I think I will go to the fabric store buy some nice material and use this as a template, might cost more in the long run , but mine will be sturdy and reliable

Works well but fiddly to put on
This cover has made my early mornings much more convenient and safe. It takes just a minute to pull it off and drive away with a clear windshield. It works really well. The reason for an average rating is that it's just a bit too time-consuming to put on. It is designed to stick to the car roof with magnets while the side flaps are trapped inside both doors and the bottom is hooked to the vehicle frame. That may sound easy enough, but in our bone-chilling finger-numbing single digit temps it takes longer than I'd like. My neighbor has a much simpler cover that sticks very closely to his windshield with magnets. He just tosses it onto his truck and spends a few seconds to straighten it, and I wish I'd bought one like that.

Easy to use!
Nice and lightweight cover that I anticipate to use a lot more in the winter but I gave it a shot since I park under a tree to see how it would hold up in the rain. It is awesome!! This fit really well on the windshield of my SUV and since I don’t have a garage, I am so excited that I finally have an alternative to help keep my windshield clear. Plus, it’s easy enough to use that I’ll be stowing it in my vehicle for use when I’m at work to keep my windshield clear. I’m guessing I’ll be buying more after the first snow.

Gets the Job Done
I got this kind of prematurely since it’s fall but I figured I should test it out before it actually starts snowing lol I got this cover because I moved last year from a house with a garage to a house w/o a garage and had a hard time with having to get up earlier to clear the snow/ice off my windshield before work and also having to do it before I could leave work. This cover fits my Jeep Cherokee (which is the smaller SUV Jeep makes) with no issues. The package did not come with directions/instruction (unless I managed to lose them which I may have since I tend to be scatter brained) but it’s easy enough to figure out without them. It’s still too early for snow here but since it’s fall I have leaves and needles falling off the trees onto my car. This cover also works to keep that stuff off my windshield. It’s gotten into the upper 30’s already here and this cover kept the frost off my windshield and side mirrors. It took extra time to take it off before I could drive off but it was worth it to be able to just drive off and not have to worry about defrosting my windshield and mirrors. It comes in/with a cute little storage bag.
