Spoke to health care assistant at GP surgery and was given a few of these to try. They are amazing, easy to apply and don't need changing every day, as some other dressings advise. I needed quite a few as I was going away and I knew I would be having to use alcohol rub frequently which meant I had to avoid getting any in the wound. Also because I am allergic to a lot of adhesives in other types of dressing this is a brand and type that is widely used in the NHS . Being on the palm of my hand I knew that sweating would make it hard to keep a dressing on so I did resort to wrapping micropore tape around my hand to keep the dressing in place.
