8Bitdo Retro Receiver Classic Mini for SNES Classic and NES Classic (Bluetooth) (Electronic Games)

I always found the biggest problem with my smallest console was the short cables for the supplied controllers, placing me uncomfortably close to the TV - a 55in screen at 3ft isn't the easiest to take in. This Bluetooth adapter from 8bitdo connects with my Switch Pro Controller with ease and I'm now able to sit a reasonable distance from the TV. Having been used to an Xbox controller for the past 20 years, the Switch Pro is very similar and a much more ergonomic choice which makes enjoying the classics much more fun - Super Mario World, Super Metroid et al, are given a new lease of life and I get to relive my childhood

This makes it possible to ditch those short controller wires (even shorter wires on the NES Mini). I have used it with a 8bitdo SN30 controller, 8bitdo NES30 controller and a 8bitdo Arcade Stick. It is important to update the firmware straight away using the ultimate software or download the firmware updater onto a computer. For the computer to see it, it is necessary to press the pairing button when at the same time connect the adaptor. The software will show it is a retro receiver and the latest firmware will be installed. Once that is done it will work perfectly. It is also important to update any 8bitdo controller firmware's too.

Works great just have some compatibility issues with xbox one pad and PS5 pad. Worth it for the ability to play my snes classic tirelessly. No input lag noticed at all.

Easy to setup for most controllers works with the Wii U pro controller, and with the PS3 DualShock 3 although for this I required to follow some extra steps.

Works great. I did need to update the firmware of both this adapter and my Bluetooth SNES pad before they would connect. So if you're having any connectivity issues be sure to check your firmware.

lo adquiri para mi mini super nes, y la verdad funciono muy bien ; se conecto sin problema con mis controles de ps4, y funciona muy bien. tiene un detalle solo si te alejas mas alla de la distancia recomendada por el fabricante, donde se puede desincronizar el control, pero para mi es un problema minimo, por lo regular estoy a 3 metros de mi consola, y funciona perfecto.

Very happy, no more playing up close to the tv or using extension cables on the controllers. Something to remember when the 8Bitdo Retro Receiver arrives in the mail: RUN THE FIRMWARE UPDATE The Retro Receiver was/is easy to update, link and use. The software is downloaded from 8Bitdo's website and come in Windows and Mac OS. Instructions are clear and I had everything linked and working on the first try. In terms of operation, the Retro Reciever works great. I use it with my SNES Classic and PS3 controller and it's a keeper for sure. I've tested a few games on the SNES and found no issue with the mapping...hence why it's important to update the firmware. Even when I switched the console off and played a day or two later, the controller and receiver remained synced.

I've used this with an 8bitdo sn30 pro for a few months now and it works great .I love it . the only issue I have is the obscurity of methods to connect the controllers. for some odd reason connecting via the sync button on the controller and sync button on the receiver has this janky issue where it will take forever to connect on startup and disconnect occasionally. to remedy this you have to connect with the controller in X-input mode (with controller off press START + X ) then press the sync button on the receiver and immediately, it connects with no issue or hang. I love you 8bitdo but you need to get it together . ;)

Excelente dispositivo. Lo actualice apenas sacarlo del empaque y fue colocar y sincronizar. Muy bueno. Lo uso con un control pro de Nintendo switch.
