Unfortunately, this wedge is not memory foam. It is a regular yellow foam w a thin memory foam layer adhered to one side. As a result, the wedge does not cradle as hoped.It also had a strong chemical smell on opening. I washed the cover and left the wedge out in the sun to off gas for over 10 days before I could use it. The smell did dissipate some over time and has continued to lessen BUT it's still there. Fortunately, I have not experienced the headaches others have.If you want a wedge that will serve as an in bed sliding board, this will work for you.I wanted it to be the arms of Morpheus to carry me off to sleepy land, but alas, it is not.Opted to return it just shy of the one month mark.

I have sciatica. I use to sleep on my side. I could barely walk when I got up the pain was so great. I went in the hospital for flu and my sciatica went away! Almost totally. 95% better!. I would fall asleep watching tv. I was sleeping in the elevated hospital bed on my back with my upper-body elevated, and my knees elevated. I noticed no pain when I got out of bed! As soon as I got home, I found this product on Amazon. It elevates my upper - body and I put pillows under my knees. I am pain free and medication free! I trained myself to sleep on my back and it is so worth it! I almost had surgery! Now life is good. Of course a expensive adjustable bed would do the same job.

I received this yesterday, left it to expand, which it was fully expanded in a few hours. Slept on it last night. Was much softer than the original foam wedges should at retail stores. Very soft memory foam, and the regular glam was supportive, yet not so firm it made my back ache. I used an old mattress sheet to cover it effectively. Had slight chemical smell, but not overpowering. Looks like a good investment. I slept quite well and I would suggest you buy a half round between-the-leg pillow to put beneath your hips, and i rested my legs over it to keep me from sliding during the night. Was more comfortable than expected, the grippy cover of the one i purchased kept it in place. Enjoy!

I love this wedge. It allows me to be propped up to read or watch tv without totally screwing up my back. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does have a horrendous chemical smell with you first unpack it. I put it out in the garage to air out for a couple of days before bringing it in and now it's fine.

We purchased two of these in the largest size available and we so excited to receive them. We opened them, and within 20 minutes our ENTIRE house smelled of chemical smells! These were upstairs, and a neighbor came over near the front door and mentioned that they were having a hard time breathing because of a terrible chemical smell. We were all feeling odd, with headaches and lightheadedness by that night. We packed them back up and sealed them into their boxes, opened the doors and windows with fans and purifiers. After we sent them back the next day, our home was much healthier, and you could feel it in your body! It was insane. So often, people trust food and housewares companies with their health. But they do not care about your health -- they care about your money. Please do some more research and look up things like 'organic,' 'holistic,' 'hypoallergenic,' 'chemical free,' etc. ....The skin absorbs 60% of what is put on it. It is similar to what you breathe in as well. Please do not poison yourself with these horribly toxic foam pieces.... We are going to keep looking and put our money and health elsewhere! I got this as a ramp for my westie so that she could get up on her box in front of a window. She has hip and leg issues and was becoming near impossible for her to jump up . This has given her the freedom to look ut her window again. it is firm enough for a smaller dog (mine is 22 pounds) to run up on but not like a regular ramp she slides down.

Great product it helps when you have acid drainage and keeps my back and head in proper alignment. I roll up a towel and lay it under ny nack with a little extended above the ;neck so my hair does not rest on the wedgee. I do have aproblem when I wake up at night using the wed properly as I seem to scoot down and in the morning, I am laying below the wedge.

a real help after open-heart surgery. perfect for keeping my torso comfortably elevated after surgery. would highly recommend for anyone who needing to keep his head elevated. very comfortable and a nice larger size.
