Because of the new 5p government bag charge, it's putting off people like me from buying shopping bags from stores... but we still need bin-bags, which we'd previously been using shopping bags for. So I started looking for an alternative source, and these are actually not too bad. 1000 bags, at a reasonable price, should last just over 2.5 years if you throw away 1 bag a day, or just over 1 year if you throw away 2 a day, and just under a year if you throw away 3 a day. So it's a pretty good economical solution all around from a household point of view. A single bag can hold 4kg. Pretty small but is more than large enough for small kitchen bins or waste paper bins, and should be okay most of the time if you're careful with heavy waste. If you add 1 more kilogram it would rip straight open at the bottom - I added plates from my weightlifting set to find out how much they could take. It's 4.5 microns thick, details found from elsewhere. That means it's not as strong as a large black refuse bag (25+ microns) for large bins, but it is good for small bins for domestic waste. It's worth a shot.

Very cheap also very flimsy

PRETTY SMALL BUT IS MORE THAN LARGE ENOUGH FOR SMALL OFFICE BIN OR FOOD RECYCLE BIN, AND SHOULD ARE OKAY IF YOU'RE CAREFUL WITH HEAVY WASTE. STRONG AS A LARGE BLACK REFUSE BAG FOR LARGE BINS, BUT IT IS GOOD FOR SMALL BINS FOR DOMESTIC WASTE. WORTH THE MONEY .

Great size and strong, far better than the flimsy liners i have used before.

These are much better more substantial bags, don't tear as easily as the thinner version. Will be ordering more
