Hellsing Deluxe Set Vol 1-3 by Kohta Hirano

This is another series of books our granddaughter is reading. She really enjoys this Japanese author. These are BIG books!

Very nice and still my favorite series

The cross is not darker than the rest of the book, there are versions you can get that are, but this is not one of those. It is inset into the cover however. Page and print quality are great, before I had only seen the anime and the original series is one of my favourite as well as Ultimate. However I went into this thinking that more of the original series was part of the manga not realizing it was basically all made up for the anime. If you are a fan of Hellsing Ultimate it basically is just a 1to1 of the manga.

This has been my favorite anime series forever, so you can imagine my surprise many years ago when I found out it was a manga. A friend got me the entire series in paperback for a birthday present many moons ago, and I lost all but 3 during moving between 3 houses. Just happened to be in a bookstore, and they had volume 1! My teenage son found it and was so excited, it's his favorite too. So we ordered the 3 volume set for my birthday this year. It is so beautifully bound, and the extras are pretty cool. Price was right.

It came with a perfect set of 3 huge thicc books. Each book even has a built in book mark on the spine so you’ll never lose your page. If your a fan of hellsing ultimate it follows the story to a tee* if you watched the anime you’ll realize a few parts added in which you have never seen before in the anime. It really helps to tie the story together. Although reading anything Anderson says gives me a headache….he has such a rich accent in the book you’ll need to reread it a couple of times to understand it. Even if you watched the anime or read the manga online for free from a site, this is a must have for any vampire fan.
