Not very reliable. Drops off the wifi network for no reason. Schedule control is unreliable. If you're buying from Amazon, look at the not below as I suspect what they are selling is part of the reason for the sub-standard performance.Amazon is selling an old model. This ships with the 1.5 firmware. Current is 2.0. I'm not happy about paying retail for stale goods. Didn't realize it wasn't current until after the installation was complete, so no way to return it at that point.... My fault for not paying attention. Amazon's fault for selling stale product (sold and shipped by Amazon). I can't say that 2.0 would resolve the issues I have, but it's unlikely the performance would be worse...

I bought this item in August 2016 for $815. After 10 months in operation, it's time to write a review. The installation was done by my pool guy, so for me, it was super easy! Ha. Operation is a breeze. We downloaded the iAquaLink app to my Android phone, my wife's Android phone, the house iPad, etc. It works all the time, every time. Easy to use app allows you to control the filter pump, the heater on/off, the heater temperature settings, etc. With the touch of a button, we're able to turn on/off the air blower to the spa. The button for "Spa Mode" works as you'd hope: changes the water flow to go directly to the spa only, initiates Spa Temperature on the heater, turns on air blower....all with one button! Ahhh. The app and website show air temperature and water temperature. All of the controls I need are right here. I never touch the physical heater. I never need to touch the pumps, or manually need to divert water with the levers. This guy does it all.As far as some review mentioning the wifi dropping? Not an issue at all in my house. My wifi is super solid, even out as far as the location of the wifi receiver from the Polaris unit.As far as some reviews mentioning unreliable scheduling? I've never had an issue with schedules. My unit turns on and turns off every single day, as scheduled, without ever any glitches. Works perfectly.I would recommend this unit to anyone.Four stars only, though. We're 10 months in and now it's time to replace a water temperature sensor. I suspect these things don't last forever, but only 10 months and it needs replacing.

2021 Updates: After 4 years of operation, I added a star to the Polaris IQ904-PS iAqualLink Pool & Spa Combo. The remote features is very convenient to operate the pool functions. Also, the unit freeze protection feature operated flawlessly during the week long sub-freezing temperature in February.Note: I got a generator to keep the pumps running during the mass power outages across Texas.2017 Reviews: Overall the Polaris IQ904-PS iAqualLink Pool & Spa Combo integrated to my pool/spa system ok. It is functional and I can control my main pump/spa and light remotely via wifi/web interface. To get the wifi setup instruction, I used YouTube. I also utilized YouTube to learn about most of the operational/setup features of the iAqualLink.The reasons for only 3 stars : 1) missing the remote low voltage cable to connect to the variable speed pump. 2) the line for the valves should be another 10 ft longer. 3) the line for the temperature probe should be 10 ft longer. 4) missing the labels to identify the controller buttons/switches.

I finally got the opportunity to install the iAqualink system and fully automate my pool and I can't be happier. I'm glad I was able to snag this on Amazon as Jandy has pulled back from online sales and only offers sales now thru Authorized Pool Suppliers and Installers. I hate this as Pool Equipment is already GROSSLY overpriced and by requiring you to go thru an authorized seller it will now just tack on even more markup. If you are familiar with wiring and basic electronics you can definitely install this yourself as it's not that hard. It took me about 2 days as I had to run wire to my pool and spa light switches in the garage to wire them into one of the AUX relays in the panel. Take our time on the install and double check all your connections, but all in all it was pretty straight forward. The only complaint I have is the Jandy APP is pretty poor and looks like kindergartner's designed it and doesn't give you much control and you still have to go to the WEB version to get all the functions. They definitely need to overhaul the app and update the GUI.

The line constantly tangles and as a result the pool is not totally covered. After 1 year, the cleaner does not reach the pool edge so you have to pull the cleaner out of the pool with the line. Pool cleaner is not good.Summary: Expensive, poor quality, hard to repair

I had to replace our 25 year old control panel due to an electrical short in the wiring leading to the panel. This is a nice upgrade with the wireless control and phone app available. It only cost a few hundred to have a pool contractor install it and we saved several hundred $ over having the contractor order and supply the system.
