can i use 2 of 65 lb hangers -side by side to hang a 5o pound mirror for safety sake?

I did exactly that and have not had any issues with the mirror.

It can be used anywhere on the wall, didn't have to be at a stud.

How will this hold above a stove with heat?

I don’t think it would be an issue. I love this product. Have hung heavy items such as mirrors without problem.

I have a painting that weighs about 8lbs and will be hung on drywall. Will I need to put this into a stud for this weight?

No need to find a stud..these grab onto the wall when you push it in with your thumbs. You can hang your pictures anywhere you want by using these. If your painting is only 8 lbs, you don’t need this one. This one is for 65 lbs. They sell them in a variety of sizes to accommodate different weights for wall art. I think the lowest they go is 15 lbs. I highly recommend these. Easy to use & they work!
