Neo-G Wrist and Thumb Support Stabilized – Carpal Tunnel Splint – Wrist Support for Arthritis, Tendonitis, Joint Pain - Wrist Brace Adjustable Compression Hand Support Left Hand

I use a wrist and thumb splint almost 24/7 as I have a variety of joint conditions which particularly affect my hands. I have owned 5 different wrist and thumb splints before this, two of which are NHS recommended, and one of which is made by the same company as the best-rated wrist splint on amazon. All of them pale in comparison to this one. The levels of support and compression are absolutely unmatched. The stitching and velcro does not rub anywhere, and the neoprene fabric means it feels padded and comfy. The only downsides are that it is not super breathable, and a little bulky. I’d also recommend wearing a thin wrist support glove thing underneath, which can be washed and changed daily, as the thickness of the support will make your hands sweat. However, these downsides are very minor compared to just how comfy and useful this item is. If you just have carpal tunnel and want something light and cozy to sleep in, this may not be the item for you. But if you need a strong, well-made support to wear most of the time, I would absolutely recommend this.

Excellent quality and provides excellent, sturdy support. The instructions on the box do say not to wear it for prolonged periods (like while sleeping), but I've been wearing it for bed to prevent me from aggravating my wrist further by bending it through the night. I was fed up of waking up with my wrist feeling worse from presumably sleeping with it bent through the night, so this did the trick in keeping it straight. There's no way of knowing for sure, but I do feel it has aided recovery by keeping the wrist immobilised. The narrower of the two splints does have a tendency to slide out, whereas the thicker of the splints is prevented from sliding out by a fold in the fabric inside the slot it's in. Where the thumb and forefinger join the seam can rub a bit so you might want to pad it out with a small bit of bandage or other fabric. That's not a criticism of the manufacturers, it's a seam, in an awkward place. On the box it says it's compatible with Neo-G 3D Hot & Cold packs, but there's no indication of which ones to use or how to use them together. The neoprene would insulate against any benefit if they were held in place outside the brace by the thick blue velcro, but it doesn't seem like there'd be room to have the packs inside the brace.

Having needed various wrist supports/splints over the years I have always chosen Neo-G. They are the best made, most comfortable supports I have used. The poor stitch work and poor design of other brands make them rub and cause discomfort. Velcro which keeps catching on clothing. I have never had any of these problems with Neo-G. Great design and shaping, along with soft gentle material and soft seaming and edgings are the reasons I have always relied on Neo-G.

I needed a thumb and wrist splint for a tendon injury. (De quervain's tenosynovitis ). Looking at reviews I chose this Neo-G wrist and thumb support and ordered it. When I received it I eagerly tried it on looking for relief and at first fit it felt good. I could tell it was offering the right amount of support and protection for the 'de quervain's tenosynovitis' that I was in pain with....but a few minutes later it started digging in. You have to put your thumb through the thumb hole in the splint to fit this on. The splint digs and rubs causing discomfort in the area of skin inbetween my thumb and forefinger. I tried to readjust the brace multiple times to see if I could correct this but I could not get it to fit on comfortably.It felt pretty sharp and the impression that I got was that this area of skin would become pretty sore and inflamed if I were to wear this for any length of time,let the alone the 24hours a day I was supposed to be wearing it. It's a shame because in all other ways it was comfortable and it seemed to offer the support and stability I required. So sadly this isn't for me. For size comparison I'm usually a size 7 is in gloves or a womens medium.

Purchased this due to a long-running, intermittent wrist-pain as well as newly acquired tendon damage. Having purchased sleeve and wrist supports in the past from a variety of sellers, I was not expecting much. Previous purchases of so-called "top reviewed" supports were very disappointing - from irritating discomfort to a lack of any genuine support. This support claims to be a graded medical device... so I give this a chance. This was a very good decision. This support offers actual "REAL" support. The support glove is comfortable over longer periods of wear, doesn't cause any significant sweating. It works just like a plaster-cast... but better; there's no huge loss of mobility to fingers and it's machine washable (after removing the plastic splints, of course!) Previous velcro supports I've purchased tended to also fall-apart and fail after a relatively short period of use. This NeoG support however is clearly very well built and is much better quality! I'm very glad I made this purchase. Highly recommended.
