Lovely, easy, and quick read
This is a lovely intro to nonbinary gender for anyway questioning, or loved ones of those who indentify as nonbinary.I appreciate the definitions of the terms, labels, language, acronyms ect. thorough the book.Discussion of other cultures and history helps put identifying as nonbinary in a context that feels validating.I loved the welcoming and non-judgmental writing around the fluidity in how one feels about themselves, and in journeys in self discovery and understanding. As a wildlife biologist I always love the reminder of how common it is is nature and how often I quickly moved back to a binary view in my studies when I know otherwise! (reminded me of being told of a wild turkey hen presenting as a Tom this past year - gobbles, behavior and all!)

Perfect Summary
I loved it! The summary covered a lot of ground in a short package as promised. Obviously, there is always more to cover but I think it did the job. I hope people do meet this book with curiosity - I'm sure my family wouldn't, but I'd be really overjoyed if others did. I loved the section on the pronoun 'you', I had no idea!!I do have a couple of comments which are just my observations and can be ignored and could be incorrect - I don't mean any offence by them. The term 'Latinx' was used and I've heard that the term 'Latine' is sometimes preferred, perhaps putting 'Latinx/Latine' as an edit? The phrase 'due to menopause, a hysterectomy or another issue' was used, and I think could be altered to 'or another reason'? Also, as another Amazon Reviewer has said, the book was entirely through the lens of the US author, which is fine, but perhaps adding in some quotes/viewpoints from other nonbinary people from different backgrounds would've been a nice addition.Thank you so much to the author for writing and sharing this work. Means the world to me.

A book we all deserve, but we didn't know we needed
This book is something my inner-child loved, things like this just weren't a thing when I was a kid and I appreciated every single bit of it. I'm so thankful the author wrote this book. Every single question an ally or cis person could have is covered, and in an easy to understand way, very lighthearted and non-judgemental at all. I recommend this book to anybody questioning their gender, or seeking to be a better ally to a fellow enby.

Perfect! Just the book I've been needing
As a nonbinary person I am so grateful for Ocean Atlas writing this book. It's exactly what nonbinary people, their loved ones, and allies (new and old) need. My father recently asked me for a book to help him understand me better and/or how he can deal with realizing his adult child is nonbinary and I couldn't have found a more perfect book-- I can't wait to pass it on not only to him, but every family member 😂

Succinct and Informative
Exactly what I was hoping for in this type of book. Easy to understand, accurate, and reasonably expansive on the topics explored. It truly is a 'For Beginners' book because the nuance of gender is vast though one should come out the end of the book with more understanding than they went in with. I believe this will be a top pick to share around my family to help them understand my own identity.
