This is the best pain relief for gout I've ever had. Had this product for over 18 months now. Had about 5 bouts in that time. This soothes in about 1 minute and the pain gone in about 5 minutes. As someone that's had gout for over 10 years, I know the incredible pain, like a broken foot on the underneath near sole and a hot tattoo needle scraping your knuckle of big toe. I keep this product in the freezer. The best thing about it is the way it fits. It feels like you are only hitting the gout spot. You can position to fit the knuckle of big toe or the outside of foot. And stays on right on the spot. With ice packs or frozen peas the cold coverage is too broad and it makes painless regions too cold and you have to take the foot away, rendering them useless. This just hits the spot and stays there. You can keep it there until the ice melts and allow the ice to do it's job on those sharp crystals and inflamed area. I'm writing this now as I lay, foot elevated after waking up to a sudden gout attack. For how I woke up, in so much pain, I'd have paid hundreds of pounds to have this. I couldn't wait to hobble down the stairs on one leg and get to the freezer. It's also very well made. The velcro, the strap, the material that holds the ice are all like brand new, after over 18 months. I haven't used it for anywhere other than my big toe and outside of foot but I imagine it would work the same on other joints. Highly recommend for gout sufferers.

Really helpful product for treating plantar fasciitis.

This is a great ice pack but doesn't fit around my actual elbow it's just to short. However to my fault I didn't look at the length of the velcro sleeve. Other than that it's good

I had already bought this product a couple of years back and it was great for instant relief of pain - after my son left it in the microwave too long, it did burst, but that was my son's fault and not the product - its extremely easy to use - pop in the fridge or freezer and then use - or pop in the microwave, for literally a minute and a half, (not 6 as my son did), and use....can be placed almost anywhere - I've used in for my back, neck, hip whereas my son has used it for his strained wrist and also his ankle (which is why I bought another one).

I found the strap to be a little short, once I had put the gel pack in, plus my foot had a thin layer bandage on and I struggled to get the Velcro to hold it all together. The gel pack I also found to be too thin for an effective ice pack. The idea is good but just needs to be made larger. I have bought a larger gel pack which remains very cold for sometime and is far more effective

Really good for targeting awkward areas, would recommend. Velcro strap is strong and you can get it tight to fit the area you need the gel pack for.

A great variation on the ice pack. I slightly sprained my ankle recently and to hold a conventional ice pack on the foot proved to be tricky. With this, I could Velcro it on and it stayed perfectly in place. The other brilliant advantage over conventional ice packs is that it can be used straight from the freezer and not wrapped in a tea towel before using. Perfect for use on the limbs - but I guess you could simply lie on it if the back needs treatment. I’m a great fan of ‘icing’ and this is a big improvement on what I’ve used in the past.

Bought the Dynamik twin set as well and this is no comparison when icing/heating. Mainly because the cover/strap that comes with the dynamik is completely flexible fabric and the pack has more space for body contact. This is heavy plastic(y) and creases when bending so gaps are left between you and the pack, you cannot get a cosy fit so it swings about on a wrist or arm, not effective at all. The gel pack itself is really quite small so taking the wrinkling into consideration you are not left with a lot of cooling surface, even for a very skinny wrist or arm. The Dynamik wraps well around everything I have tried. The “sticky” Velcro part is always left exposed and therefore anything you are wearing will stick to it whilst trying to wrap this on your left arm using right. It would be better if one side were just fluffy felt like the dynamik then you wouldn’t have this super frustrating problem of trying to get the thing on and freeing yourself whilst in pain (or you would not be using it). If you need info: my issue for using this is a C5/C6 disc bulge with burning pain in neck, shoulder, full arm and a few digits. Needless to say, I will not be recommending or using this anymore.
