Perfect fo D800
This works great with the D800. Push half way to focus, all the way for shutter release. Construction is quality -- no need to pay Nikon's extortionate price. . .

Works well, great price, one small issue
(NOTE: I received nothing of value for this review and paid full retail price for the product.)Great price, works well. The only issue is that it is too easy to accidentally lock the remote button down when trying to press it for a single actuation. Once I figured out the proper angle to approach the button from, this was less of a problem. Despite this minor issue, I would strongly recommend this over the Nikon-branded remote that costs (four times?) as much.

worked on Nikon D800
No problems or concerns. Worked as expected on Nikon D800 DSLR camera. Construction seems good (for plastic). Expect it to continue to work without problems.

Sometimes going cheap is not a bargain
Sometimes going cheap is not a bargain. This device works for about a month and then it stopped. A couple of weeks later I tried it again and it worked. I assumed it was my fault. I took it on a three week photo trip to Italy and it completely failed to work! So, I broke down and paid $72 for a Nikon MC-30A shutter release and it works perfectly. Also, it is easy to attach and take off due to some improvements in its design from old models. $72 for a shutter release is outrageous, but when you are in the field you want everything to work properly. I use it on my D800, which is not listed on the instructions, but works perfectly.

Three Stars
Ideal for use to avoid camera jitter, however, the cable is too short for many other uses.

As odd as it sounds, I give it 4 stars ("I like it") even though I had to return it as defective. This purchase is only one of three of these exact remotes that I've had, and the other two work like a charm. This one was just a bad one -- and that happens sometimes.

Five Stars
