Hugely overpriced.
As an IT consultant I strongly favour 'genuine' inks from the original makers for colour consistency, trouble-free use and no installation issues with printers throwing a wobbly because you try to use cheaper alternatives. Non-genuine cartridges are a dice-roll in my opinion and if you need a good quality printer and a scanner that can be left scanning both sides of a piece of paper via a feed hopper for work like the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 (the scanner doesn't work if even one ink is finished, go figure), it's a bit of a no brainer. However, these four HP 953 cartridges come to nearly £90 inc VAT, and their larger capacity version HP 953XL 4-pack is nearly £160 inc VAT. I can appreciate that printer companies sell their printers at or below cost and get their money back on the sale of the inks, but these prices are ridiculous and 100% taking the mickey.
