What a delight this is! It is a wonderfully illustrated graphic novel aimed at middle grade children. It was the cover that pulled me in when I was browsing NetGalley. Simple and effective. Phoebe and her unicorn are investigating why the electricity and magic are not working anymore. It is a lovely story of friendship and I loved it from beginning to end. Kudos to the author/artist as well for showing same-sex parenting as a very normal thing, which is as it so should be! Even though I am clearly not the intended audience, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and raced through it. I know several children who would love this book and I would definitely recommend it as an awesome gift!

This is a really cute children's book about a girl called Phoebe and her magical unicorn Marigold. The book is quite funny and I enjoyed all the character's voices and the special sound effects which made the book come to life.
