Took me a long time to getting this fitted because if flimsy plastic.It was literally hell trying to get this screwed in from underneath the worktop.The plastic was oval instead of round and the treads wouldn't mate up. I eventually got it but there was lots of temper tantrums and curse words screamed before i got there.. :-)Once fitted it looks really nice but when extended up, its a bit wobbly due to the not so great plastic quality.

Excellent product, and superb delivery

Easy to fit, and great asset in the kitchen. only issue is that it can be stiff to pull up at times and doesn't close on first go. Ours also broke. could do with a safety catch to prevent it from being pulled up too far, cos that's what happened to us and the base broke clean off it. Did super glue the base back together and it has worked for now. Delighted to have it in the kitchen worktop, saves a lot of hassle with trying to find plugs when preparing food, etc..

It does the job although interestingly it does seem not to pull enough power through - our iron for example doesn't get as hot as with other sockets. Its very useful having the USB ports although they are upside down! Which means if you are charging something (fitbit charger for example) the device is face down and you can't easily check whether it is charging (not a big drama if you have something on a long usb cable)The power port is stiff to pull up and needs some forceful encouragement so I'm hoping that it won't break. One month in and it seems to be okApril'15 - this is now broken as I feared! The forceful encouragement has meant that it no longer stays up its still vaguely useable when it has a plug in it but the USB ports aren't. Shame really. Demoted to two stars.

good product

Brought this item for new kitchen. So far its been ok. Good point is am able to plug in more than one item in a place with hardly any plugs, eliminating the need for extension cables and wires everywhere.
