These shelves are great. They're engineered really nicely and the parts are super-easy to assemble and sturdy for plastic shelving, each vertical bar locks perfectly into place. The parts are also perfectly interchangeable. If you wanted you could mix and match, buy two units, make one 6 shelves high and the other four shelves high, no problem. Like any shelf just a foot deep, these aren't entirely stable, so you should definitely consider anchoring it to a wall. Based on the quality, I don't doubt that these can hold fifty lbs per shelf, however, if you set a 50 lb dumbbell in the center of one shelf, you'd see it bowing, most likely permanently if you left it that way. It's plastic. There's not much you can do about that. So I'd recommend putting heavier objects off to the sides closer to the vertical supports and leaving the center for lighter items, or distribute the weight evenly across the shelf. You can see bowing with even pressing down gently with one hand in the center of a shelf. These will sag if you're putting all the weight right in the center. Overall, for the price, I think these may be the best plastic shelves you can possibly buy. I bought four, and I'm already thinking of buying two more. The shelves are not attractive in any way. Purely functional. But since I'm just putting them in a storage room it's fine. These aren't shelves you'd put out where guests would see them if you care about aesthetics. But if all you care about is putting all your junk on shelves? Perfection achieved.

Not just for putting stuff. Only downside is the shelf channels are pretty deep and wide, so stacking small objects could be tough, also means I had to cover them up so my cats feet wouldn't get stuck in them or she wouldn't want to use them as steps or somewhere to sit. For my small catio - I needed something that wouldn't fall apart if it got rained on now then. These shelves were a pretty good answer. I just put some carpet on top to cover the open channels, hopefully the adhesive will hold up. It's actually good there are channels for drainage if they do get wet versus a flat surface which could pool up longer. I intend to cover the catio with a sun sail, but sometimes the weather blows sideways so there's no avoiding things getting wet during a storm. Sturdy, light weight and super easy to put together. I broke up the unit into two sections - Shelves could tip over when you get above 3 tiers but I placed them it into a corner so it's less likely, could also strap one of the support bars. Once pieces are in place the hold together snug and can easily be taken apart without any tools. Plastic parts are manufactured uniformly, ship clean and stacked and don't put off any bad odors.

Easy to assemble and very sturdy material. The measurements of the shelf are great for small spaces. Unfortunately I do wish the height would have been a bit tall for its value but overall a great product.

Easy to put together. Took me about three minutes for first one. The narrow end of the posts are the tops. It is easier to assemble them upside down using a table for the first few shelves. Once I had the first unit assembled, something occurred to me in that the parts an be mixed between multiple units to allow for taller and or shorter units. However, it you goober 5 shelves, you might want to add some stability. The shelves are fine for most uses. However, some might want to add shelving as the provided shelving might not support some things from going through them. I plan on using some plywood for some of the shelves. I am of two minds on the depth of the shelves. At their present size, they fit well into small spaces. At the dame time, if they are deeper, it would allow storage of larger objects. Personally, I am going to use two units together to provide the width I need. Finally, one thing that tells a lot, would I be willing to order more units. That's easy, Yes, likely I will be ordering at least a dozen and maybe more. It is a solution looking for problems. Moreover, they are easy to disassemble too, if needed. That means they can be stored and transported as needed and they are light. perhaps there is room for options, such as wheels and plastic, wood, or even particle boards cut to size might be nice. Moreover, some might like to add plywood backs and/or sides as well I a see situations where I will be buying and adding them on my own. Sometimes I would not want things falling behind it. certainly, all and all, these are good basics that can be added to as needed and easily. Indeed, as I write this, I keep thinking of more uses. Just noticed a weakness to the shelves. of the six units I bought there are two shelves with broken corners. One of them is not usable. The other is going to need some epoxy or it too will not be usable. In one case, it might have broken on shipment. I don't know for sure but you might note the condition of she shipping box before opening it. I suspect one of mine might have been dropped on the corner. Unfortunately I am not going to point the finger being as I might have been the one that did it, which is a cautionary note. Don't drop the package.

I love these shelves and bought them to place my wigs on. Whether they're in boxes or on styrofoam heads, these shelves are perfect. Super easy to put together, without any tools. Great height and depth. They'll be easy to keep clean and the material they're made of is strong enough to withstand much more weight than my wigs could ever be. My husband found this 5 shelf set for me on Amazon and they're just the right size & thickness that I needed to keep my wigs organized. Having these shelves is so much better than storing all my wigs in totes. I'll be more organized and will be able to choose the wig I want to wear without having to dig at the bottom of a tote. And, as I've mentioned in other reviews, I wear my wigs for fun. I have thick healthy hair but sometimes I just don't like to deal with bad hair days. This is going to be so much more convenient and handy. And most likely will be full by the time I get all my wigs out and placed on the shelves.

Greetings Avid Amazon Shoppers, In review is the IRIS 5-shelf unit. This is my second purchase. *The color is black. *Sturdy plastic. *Easy to assemble. * Great value for the money. The first shelf unit arrived with a cracked corner. It was easily exchanged for another. The shipping box was marked fragile, but something happened anyway. There is no inside wrapping so damage is easily possible. This unit was given 5 stars.
