DB9 null modem male to female slimline data transfer serial port adapter 2 Pack

I purchased these for connecting legacy equipment that requires a null modem configuration, and they worked exactly as expected. The slimline form factor is helpful in tight setups where multiple DB9 connectors sit close together. Fit is solid once connected, and there’s no noticeable play in the connection. One detail I especially appreciate is the mechanical design of the screw posts. Each jack screw is essentially a double-sided threaded post — one end secures the adapter to the equipment’s serial port, and the other end has internal threading to accept the thumbscrews from the connected cable or another adapter. This allows the connection to be mechanically fastened on both sides, which adds stability and prevents accidental loosening in lab, rack, or field environments. Signal transfer has been stable with no communication issues during use. For serial troubleshooting or legacy device connections, they’ve been reliable.

Because serial is not exactly current technology it can be difficult to tell both what type of cable you need and what type of cable you are buying. Sellers don't know the difference and even if things are properly labeled the terminology and jargon might as well be hieroglyphics at this point. After purchasing the wrong ones, and buying the "right ones" but receiving completely different mislabeled cables, this item allowed me to get my DB9 - DB25 Epson Thermal Printers working. I still don't know exactly which cables I purchased or which I needed, but these fixed the issue regardless.

Just what I needed to connect a standard serial cable to an SEL Feeder Protection Relay. Don't bother buying an expensive SEL cable.

Great product, but delivery was very unclear. I ended up walking all the way around the building to find it and did not. The package was placed in the mailbox for some reason and the only way I found it was that there was an obscure note about the driver dropped it in there instead of simply going in the front door and delivering it. Thats lazy work for sure.

I bought for a reason and not sure what im doing wrong. Nothing wrong with product i just can't use for now

Used this with a Ugreen USB to RS232 serial adapter because I needed a null modem crossover to make the computer interface to my laser engraver. Works great while not adding excess length and weight.

Worked great and was very inexpensive

These worked perfectly for my application. They arrived promptly, which is important now that we don't have a local store like Radio Shack to go to and get them.
