is it safe to use in a school bus that sits year round

I don't know why it wouldn't be. We use it in a gun safe and it sits in there year round. It works great in the safe, I don't know if it would be feasible to use it in such a large area as a bus, because you have to empty the container at regular intervals and refill. Hope this helps.

Fish, bugs, protozoa, little bits of detritus and dissolved minerals are usually what you find in water. The liquid produced by these is calcium chloride brine, though, not water, so you won't find any fish etc. in it.

I see some people say that you can use Calcium Chloride Pellets is this true they say it works the same way as Dri-Z-Air crystals has anyone tried it

No -I haven't tried it BUT -Dri-Zair does sy on the contains that it contains Calcium Chloride -- and a phone number 800 270-5220.you could ask them what they add to it?? Sorry if you already Know all this -- But Lowes sell CC pellets for melting ice -- -you could try putting it in a similar container to Driz-air & see if it works the same way??? and see if it works the same way ???

Can this be used in a pantry where fresh food is stored?

Not sure however I put one in the kitchen of my rv in the winter months and it works really good. It should be okay because it just absorbs the moisture and has no smell. I would not hesitate to use it in a pantry. I don’t have mine handy to read, but it would have a warning to not use around food if it’s harmful
